Answer: Honey Grove

In the movie, Honey Grove, Texas was situated near Dallas, Texas. Honey Grove was roughly 85 miles from Dallas and only about 21 miles west of Paris, Texas.
2. Who was Bess' best friend throughout her life?

Answer: Totsie

Played wonderfully by Sheila McCarthy, Totsie was Bess' best friend throughout the whole movie. Incidentally, Sheila McCarthy played the librarian in "Day After Tomorrow".
3. Who informed Bess of her mother's death?

Answer: Andrew, her father

Bess was pregnant with her first child and arguing with her gardener about the flower arrangement in the garden. Just then her gardener's wife rushed over with a telegram from her father saying that her mother had passed.
4. What were the names of Bess and Rob's children?

Answer: Robert, Andrew, Eleanor

After the wedding scene, the movie faded to Bess and Rob's bedroom where she was clearly pregnant with Robin. They later on moved into a new home, according to Bess' letter to her father announcing the birth of his namesake, Drew. Eleanor was born on the way home from Europe on the boat.

Totsie married Dwight Davis who had tons of money and a house in Connecticut with farm animals. Bess thought he was trying to show off that he was wealthy and she resented him for it.

After Eleanor was better and at home, Rob decided to present Bess with a Valentine's gift of a car. Bess called it a deadly dangerous machine. Rob said he was going to New York and they could stop by and visit Totsie.

The children and Rob were sick with the influenza but it was Rob who got steadily worse. He tried to get Bess to write a codicil to his will but with tears, she refused to do it. Mother Steed couldn't get over the fact that she was going to bury her child so she told the children she hoped she would be dead in the morning.
