Adam and Gloria married in 1993 but trouble would soon brew approximately one year later when Adam plotted another devious scheme. This time, he faked his own kidnapping to test Gloria. Gloria found out about this and humiliated Adam when she dumped him at the altar when they went to renew their vows. It was at this event that the first scripted tornado struck town.

Adam felt that Marian was not good enough for his twin brother, Stuart, and he wanted a way to break them up. To do this, he enlisted Leo into his scheme since he realized that Leo had committed a crime. He blackmailed Leo by saying, if he did not get someone (Paolo) to seduce Marian, he would reveal Leo's crime. Leo reluctantly agreed but, despite this scheme, Stuart stood by Marian's side since he knew she would never cheat on him.

It was then revealed that Paolo drugged Marian to get her into his bed.

Tad and Liza arranged to have a new skyscraper built named Colmar Tower in honor of them. While it was under construction, he sabotaged the plans so Tad would be there as the building fell to the ground. When he realized that Liza was there during the skyscraper's collapse, he went to try and stop it but he wound up severely injured as a result.

In early 2002, Adam realized that Liza had siphoned off some funds from Chandler Enterprises to prepare herself in case Adam filed for divorce, as the couple had many marital problems the previous year. To get back at her, he gaslighted her for several months in order to prepare for not only divorce but to obtain custody of their daughter, Colby. Adam and Liza were divorced in late 2002 but he did not get sole custody of Colby.

10. During October of 2004, Adam blackmailed whom after he made a video where it looked like she threatened to kill JR?

Answer: Babe Carey

In 2004, Adam was disgusted with Babe's duplicity when she did not inform JR earlier in the year that their marriage was invalid since she was still married to Paul Kramer. JR and Adam both made her pay months down the line but with Adam's role resorting to blackmail. Adam crafted a videotape where it looked as if Babe said she was going to kill JR and he used this against her to try and get her to relinquish custody of their child, "Bess".

This was still during the time when "Bess" was believed to be JR and Babe's daughter.

It was eventually revealed she was Bianca's child, Miranda.
