5. In the words of "Farewell Aunty Jack" the theme song of the show, how tall was Aunty Jack?

Answer: Ten Feet

The first verse is as follows; "Farewell Aunty Jack. We know you'll be back. Though you're ten feet tall, you don't scare us at all. You're big, bold and tough. But you're not so rough. There's a scream as you plummet away!"
6. Aunty Jack was a moustached, golden boxing glove wielding, fat, motorcycle rider in a blue dress.

Answer: True

Aunty Jack, played by Grahame Bond, was depicted as a 100kg, violent (with a softer side), cross-dressing boxer who wore one golden boxing glove and rode a black motorcycle with a sidecar. Aunty Jack would say, at the close of each show, "Goodbye, me little lovelies! And don't forget to tune in next week to the show, because if you don't, I'm going to come round to your house, and I'm going to rip your bloody arms off! And I will too. Don't forget it". And I loved her, I mean him, no, her (oh whatever)!
7. To which of the following British shows was "The Aunty Jack Show" compared?

Answer: Monty Python's Flying Circus

Often somewhat unfairly described as the Australian "Monty Python", "The Aunty Jack Show" combined sketch comedy with a regular character format and a musical bent, (not unlike "The Goodies") and added a uniquely Australian rough-and-readiness and an atypical Australian absurdity which made it truly one of a kind. Created by Grahame Bond and Rory O'Donaghue, "The Aunty Jack Show" was a classic comedy series that defined Australian comedy in the 1970s, even though the show only ran for two seasons.
8. In the third verse of "Farewell Aunty Jack", the theme song of the show, what does Thin Arthur say Aunty Jack is?

Answer: Big, round and fat

The third verse of "Farewell Aunty Jack" is; She rides a black bike
(Aunty Jack - "I do"). And drives through the night. She's big, round and fat but don't dare tell her that (Aunty Jack - "I bloody well aren't!"). Else she'll turn so mean. Her glove starts to gleam. There's a scream as she plummets away (Aunty Jack - "Do you want a good smack in the mouth?")
9. What was the name of the album released in 1974 that featured the theme song, "Farewell Aunty Jack"?

Answer: Aunty Jack Sings Wollongong

The album "Aunty Jack Sings Wollongong" was released in 1974. The single and theme song "Farewell Aunty Jack" reached Number 1 in the Australian music charts and stayed there for twenty two weeks!
10. Grahame Bond said, what, of Aunty Jack?

Answer: She's a golden gloved fighter seeking justice

Grahame Bond said in a "TV Week" interview in February 1973 that Aunty Jack was bigoted, however, she saw herself as a golden gloved fighter seeking justice!
