Anya says this in "I'll Never Tell". "His penis got diseases from a Chumash tribe." This relates to the season 4 episode, "Pangs" in which the spirits of an ancient native tribe were released and they begin to inflict the inhabitants of Sunnydale with diseases and plagues that white men inflicted on them. Xander gets a bunch of diseases, syphilis being his main concern.
