Dawson and Joey are lying on the bed watching "ET- The Extra Terrestrial." The producers did a great job of showing us the real Dawson and Joey in that first scene.

John Wesley Shipp played Mitch Leery in seasons one through five. Prior to "Dawson's Creek," Shipp gained success as a daytime soap star by appearing on such soaps as "The Guiding Light", "Santa Barbara" and "All My Children."

"Waiting for Guffman" is a 1996 movie about a city that is celebrating its 150th anniversary. The citizens of the city decide to put on a talent show. The only problem is nobody has any talent. Sounds to me like the gang got their money's worth.

They both have Mr. Rinson for Biology. This gives them a chance to get to know each other. When Jen walks into the classroom, Joey slides down in her chair hoping that Jen doesn't see her.

Dawson notices this when he walks in and uses it as a conversation starter with Mr. Gold.

This is on the sign in front of the school. However, just seconds later you see another sign that says Home of the Minutemen. Also inside the school is a banner that says Go Wildcats Go! I wonder if the producers realized this when they made the show.
