In the episode "Mr. Wu", Al Swearengen is force to kill one his own men to repay Mr. Wu for the murder of two of his dope couriers. One of Cy Tolliver's men was also involved in the murders, but Tolliver refused to allow his man to participate in a 'short straw' contest.
