Control Freak is a chubby villain that uses his remote to do his bidding. He is a complete couch potato and knows way too much about TV and movies. He wears a long black cape and has red-orange hair pulled back. Raven thinks he's a pretty lame villain.

"Halloween II", "The Thing", and "I Watched You Do Things Last Winter" are not known movies of the Teen Titans universe. The cutout that they fawn over is of the main monster; a figure clad in a green hood, with long green tentacles and one red eye. Control Freak makes it come to life and attack Beast Boy. He runs past the screen yelling, "Look out, it'll eat your brains!"

Answer: Candy

Control Freak makes all these things come to life, but the candy is what attacks Cyborg. The candy tries to eat him, but Cyborg bites back. The evil candy gives him a stomach ache. When Starfire offers him candy to eat while watching Wicked Scary at the Tower, he tells her to, "Make it go away".

Answer: Movie monster

Brother Blood, Johnny Rancid, and the Puppet King do not appear in this episode. The monster that is in the tower is the same one that Control Freak made come to life as a cutout. Only this time, the monster removes its cloak to terrorize the Teen Titans.

It is revealed to be a large green monster with many tentacles, to arms, multiple red eyes, and multiple mouths with fangs on its body. Beast Boy thinks that the monster came because the movie opened a portal to another dimension when they watched it.

Answer: They don't work

Raven does cry out "Azarath, metrion, zinthos", but nothing happens. She gasps and says, "My powers". Raven's powers are out of commission for the majority of the episode.

Answer: Beast Boy

The Teen Titans hear someone crying out for help and go to investigate. It turns out to just be a monkey toy in Beast Boy's closet, which wants others to help it count. After Cyborg cracks a joke, the Titans continue off down the hall. Beast Boy is dragged away by the monster's tentacles.

He cries out, "Funny guy goes first!" as he is taken. He is referring to the fact that horror movies always have victims go missing in a certain order.

Answer: The villain has more than one remote

Control Freak's remote is necessary for him to make monsters come to life and attack. The Teen Titans are so sure that he's behind the monster. But since he has no remote, they know it's not him who is behind it. Cyborg says that he could have another copy of the remote. After all, according to Cyborg, the Teen Titans have nine remotes, themselves.

Answer: Robin

Robin has figured out what is behind the monsters. Before he can tell the other Teen Titans, however, he is kidnapped by the monster. Raven and Cyborg grab his arms to try and pull him back from the monster, which is pulling him through the wall. They are easily knocked away, and Robin is taken. He is the second person to be taken.

Answer: Basement

The remaining Teen Titans are searching in the living room/kitchen area when Raven says that they've looked everywhere. Cyborg says that they have one place left. Lightning flashes as Starfire gasps. The next scene starts with them going down into the basement to look around.

Answer: Something crawling across the floor

The thing that Starfire sees running along the floor is a black rat with red eyes. When she looks up to the basement's rafters, she spots a whole army of four eyed rats. The rats hiss and chase after the three remaining Titans; Starfire, Raven, and Cyborg.

Answer: Starfire

Starfire is buried under the pile of rats. Cyborg pounces onto them, but they vanish. Along with Starfire! Raven wants to go back and look for her, but Cyborg pulls her out of the basement and reminds her that they can't help if they get taken as well. While going down the hall, Raven is separated from Cyborg. Starfire was the third person to vanish, and Cyborg was the fourth.

Answer: A large dragon

The large dragon flies down the hallway after Raven, chasing her into the elevator. It is large, black, and has four red eyes. After it crashes into the elevator that Raven is in, she is slammed to the ground as the elevator ascends. The elevator fills up with a bubbling black liquid.

When the elevator doors open in the living room/kitchen area, Raven is rushed out with the flood of liquid.

Answer: She can still fight back

All throughout the episode, Beast Boy claims that Raven is scared. Raven has always responded that she isn't afraid. However, that was just an act. Now that she admits she's afraid, her powers return to her. She lets out one large attack, which makes a large black raven form come out of the tower. Raven passes out, but awakens to find that the monsters are all gone, and her friends have returned.

Answer: Raven's powers

Robin finally has the chance to tell everyone what happened. He explains that Raven's powers had been the real cause of the monster. Her denial of her fear found its way out through her powers. This is also the reason she couldn't use her powers at will; the energy was put into making her fears real. Now that Raven is admitting that she's afraid, and that it's okay to be scared sometimes, her powers have returned. Thus vanquishing the monsters as well.

Answer: Halloween

Beast Boy tells Raven that what happened was scary, and no horror movie can hold a candle to it. He asks her if she wants to do it for Halloween. Raven's response is the last line of the episode: "I'm afraid not".
