Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. This episode features a visit from one of Ed's old core buddies. He, like Ed, is also using his previous experience in his current job working in the field of high-tech security. He comes to the Montecito to install the new state of the art security system...and it gives him a chance to catch up with Ed. Played by Alec Baldwin....what is his name?

Answer: Jack Keller

Jack Keller, owner of Keller Security, also visits again in an episode in Season 2. Alec Baldwin and James Caan together make a great team...and anyone who watched the blooper reel would see why. A brilliant part of the blooper reel shows Caan looking at a picture of himself, and then when he asks Baldwin who it is...Baldwin replies "Gene Hackman"! Keller is a bad egg though...as we find out later in the episode.
2. Before Ed's old core buddy installs the new system... Ed decides to have a bit of fun and see if he can break into the vault. He also has an assailant. Who is his partner in this break and enter?

Answer: Nessa

Wearing all black...they manage to get in! But are caught once inside by Danny and Keller. Ed's opening line to Keller is "Well....give us a kiss then..." Danny is completely bemused...not realizing that they knew each other.
3. Mary has organized for a comedian to perform for the Montecito. The comedian goes by the name of Richie Phillips and is very good with imitations. He also has another "trick" that he performs which isn't as sanitary. Basically he uses a piece of his genitalia to stir someone's drink. This trick has a name... what is it?

Answer: Portland Dangler

The Portland Dangler. Phillips' best known trick always leaves him in a catch 22. People come purely to see the Dangler, yet when he does it, the venue fires him and never allows him back! Phillips is played by comedian Craig Gass.
4. Nessa, Ed and his old core buddy are having a chat in the casino... reliving how wild they were in their days working for the C.I.A. His buddy and Ed then give Nessa an anecdote explaining how men and women are different. They basically describe how a man would sleep with any woman, whereas that's not the case with women. His core buddy then sees two beautiful young women and is given 10-to-1 odds by Nessa of picking one of them up. To hold up their pride.... Ed's buddy goes to work. What incredibly intelligent and witty line does he first use on them, that he used in the anecdote?

Answer: Do you have the time?

The conversation...

Keller: "There's no place like Vegas."
Nessa: "Yeah I heard you old men really knew how to..."
Ed: "Whoa...what's with the old men?"
Nessa: "Yeah I heard you old men really knew how to tear it up back in the day."
Keller: "Back in the day? Back in the day... WE did some stone age scamming on some of the most beautiful ladies on the planet!"
Ed: "Woah.. what are you telling her? I was a married man, Keller!"
Nessa: "Then I'm sure you can enlighten me on your theories on men and women."
Keller: "Ok...you ready?"
Nessa: "Yes!"
Keller: "Men and women are different."
Nessa: "That's it!?"
Ed: "Whaddyou mean that's it? Yeah... Keller...tell her the 'time' thing..."
Keller: "Okay. A girl's walking down the strip... good-looking guy pulls up in a brand new Ferrari... He says "Do you have the time?" She says "2:30" and he points to a penthouse on the top of the Montecito..."
Ed: "He says to her... "Hey...I find you very attractive... and I'd like to make love to you in my penthouse up there..." Right? So out of 100 women...how many do you think would go?"
Nessa: "I dunno....maybe 10... What's your point?"
Keller: "Okay...a guy is walkin down the strip...less than wonderful lookin broad pulls up in a beat up Tercel... she says "Do you have the time" he says "2:30" she points to a tenement apartment on top of a beat-up liquor store and says "I find you very attractive...wanna come to my place and go a few rounds?" And...?"
Nessa: "And every single guy would go..."
Ed: "They wouldn't only go... they'd run home and tell all their friends and their friends would think he's the luckiest guy on Earth!
Keller: And so...men and women are different!"
Ed: "Absolutely."
Keller: "Those two right there...whaddya think?"
Nessa: "Your odds say 10-to-1 against..."
Ed: "Ten to one? Ouch...c'mon champ let's go..."
Keller: "Ok....who's the boss, who's the boss....*slides on seat next to girls*.... Do you have the time?"
Ed (to Nessa with thumbs up at Keller): "Dead in the water."
5. Ed's old core buddy has brought Ed a valuable tribal gift from Africa where he's been lately. The gift seems genuine at first...but is later found to be an integral part of a scheme to rob the Montecito. It belonged to a Somali Chieftain....what was it?

Answer: Mask

Keller gives Ed a mask and asks him to try it on. When Ed tries it on... all the little mini spears in the mask move to perfectly groove Ed's face. By using these as pinpoints... Keller can make a mold of Ed's face...and use it to make a disguise so he can sneak into the vault.
6. During this episode...we get to learn a bit more about Sam. She felt bad about having to kick out one of her oldest clients...and gets a bit drunk. She talks about how she lives in a suite at the Montecito and still has all of her bags packed just in case she has to move soon...as she never knows when she will. Who does Sam lean on and talk to about her thoughts through this episode?

Answer: Danny

At one stage she invites Danny into her room...but with her being drunk, Danny makes the decision not to. At the end of the episode...she realizes that the Montecito is her family and she unpacks her bags.
7. Richie Phillips the comedian manages to do a number of impersonations during the show. Which of these does he NOT impersonate?

Answer: Sean Connery

Phillips performs a skit on his show about what Al Pacino would sound like if he was a blackjack dealer. He then does the most cracking impersonation of Walken when explaining to Mary how he got into hacking...and then does Schwarzenegger in his threat to her later. No Connery to be heard.
8. It's country time at the Montecito and the casino has been invaded by cowboys and cowgirls all over the shop. They have all flocked as their favourite duo is playing their show there. This duo are seen at the craps table at the Montecito on a 24hr gambling binge! Who was the duo?

Answer: Brooks and Dunn

Brooks & Dunn performed an acoustic version of "That's what she gets for lovin' me" at the end of the episode to the crew. The version was great and apparently widely sought after by fans after hearing it as they had never released it!
9. A big twist in the show happens when the team find out they have been robbed by Ed's old core buddy and his firm. Working together with him was the comedian Richie Phillips, who also doubles as a very useful hacker. Phillips' plans take a little turn when one of the Montecito staff walk in on him when he has hacked into the surveillance and therefore he ties them up. Who gets tied up and then gagged?

Answer: Mary

Mary was to go into his room to tell him that he needed to leave. Phillips turned a gun on her in return and tied her up. Might not have been the smartest move by Phillips to leave his dressing room door unlocked and his laptop screen facing the door...
10. Does Ed's core buddy escape to freedom, after attempting to steal the Montecito's money?

Answer: Yes

Ed realizes beforehand that Keller was up to something...so he switched all the money in the vault to blanks. When he calls Keller, he advises him to run as fast as he can...in respect for what they shared in the core...even though he had tried to rob him. Keller escapes by helicopter before the police show up to arrest the rest of his crew.
