1. What was the name of Almanzo's flamboyant younger brother, who made one appearance on the show and almost crippled Almanzo's horse?

Answer: Pearly-Day

This was the only episode that we hear about Pearly-Day. We meet Royal in one of the episodes shortly after Laura and Almanzo are married, and then yet another Royal in the beginning of the "Little House: A New Beginning" series. Even when Almanzo is remembering back to a long ago Christmas we only hear him mention one brother, Royal.
2. Who rescued Nancy from the well she accidentally fell into, while trying to run away from Willie?

Answer: Lou

Little Lou was a small person with a big heart. He wanted to help the Olesons get their daughter back immediately, even though Mrs. Oleson was nasty to him and prevented him from acquiring a job at the bank.
3. Who did Willie marry?

Answer: Rachel

Rachel Brown was a young lady that Mrs. Oleson thought unsuitable for Willie. She said Rachel was making Willie give up college, but Willie only wanted to stay in Walnut Grove and run the restaurant. Willie certainly didn't strike me as the college type.
4. Who was the man that Charles wanted to "carve a proper grave marker" for?

Answer: Jack Prescott

In this episode, Caroline told Charles "if it's a legacy you're after, you can't do better than our children."

Miss Amy had three children, one of whom she didn't even know if he was still alive. She was very angry at him for not keeping in touch.

Eliza-Jane was very pleased with the fact that someone was finally calling her by her given name. She said that the children and their parents called her Miss Wilder, and the only one who didn't call her Miss Wilder was Almanzo and he called her "sis".

Answer: Willie

During a very bad heat spell, Laura endangered her life as well as that of her unborn baby, and Willie ran all the way from the Wilders' farm to Doc Baker's, almost causing himself to have a heat stroke.

Charles and Nels opened a restaurant in the Olesons' house so that it would give Mrs. Sullivan's Kitchen some competition. When Major Guffy returned and found less than spectacular sales in his restaurant, he tore up the contract and the restaurant returned to its original ways.
22. What was the name of the blind school as we see it written on the plaque donated by Mrs. Oleson?

Answer: The Harriet Oleson Institute for the Advancement of Blind Children

They certainly needed a large plaque to display a name as long as that one.

Mary found the baby raccoon and brought it home to Laura, because she felt responsible for breaking her doll's head.

The Fenton brothers knew that the sheep had anthrax, but sold it anyway so that they would have some money for the winter.

Mostly everyone in town was buying the infected corn meal, because it was only about half the cost of Mr. Hansen's flour. Charles didn't buy any because he had his own flour that he had milled.
