In the pilot episode, after being pulled to a mysterious space station on the other side of the galaxy, the crew was presented with a holographic representation of rural America, in which a gray-haired woman at a farm house offered them lemonade, sugar cookies and corn.

It was presented by an alien being, who became known as the Caretaker, and who appeared in the simulation as a banjo player.

Answer: kavarian olives

Pepperoni pizza with kavarian olives might be called a dying man's last request. In "Threshold", Paris, rapidly mutating from his warp 10-breaking flight, asked for it before (apparently) dying.

Answer: plomeek soup

Plomeek soup is a normally-bland Vulcan dish. Neelix, trying to give Tuvok a taste of home, apparently leaned a little too heavily on the salt and spices, as we learned in "Faces".

Answer: jibalian fudge cake

Kes entered Sandrine's to find that the crew was giving her a surprise party. Neelix made jibalian fudge cake which looked a little weird with its pureed l'maki nut blue frosting. And then things on the ship started to get really weird.

Neelix attempted to spice up some Starfleet ration cubes with Talaxian spices to help the crew withstand the harrowing situation in the episode. Seven further commented that "fortunately, taste is irrelevant".

Answer: mushroom

Mushrooms seem to be found all over the galaxy. Seska found some in a cave on an unnamed planet in "State of Flux". We learned that it was Chakotay's favorite soup when she secretly made some for him. He was not amused since it took food away from the rest of the crew. As the series progressed, we learned that there were many non-amusing details of Seska's personality.

They must have been some sort of turtle eggs but Janeway wasn't interested in them, or in Neelix's "even-better-than-coffee-substitute" that morning.

Answer: Yes

While the main story of "Message in a Bottle" was contact with a Federation ship, Neelix took the time to experiment with some Earth dishes, including a classic American Southwest chili; perhaps he went a little too heavy on the jalapeno peppers.

While working overtime on building a new shuttlecraft in "Extreme Risk", B'Elanna asked Neelix to make some for her. Her grandmother (her human grandmother, probably) made them for her when she was a child.

Answer: coffee

From when we first saw her, Kathryn Janeway was likely to have a cup of coffee in her hand. Real or replicated, the only time she ever refused it was when it was one of Neelix's more exotic blends.
