Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Turn on your dial to the television show, "Gilligan's Island", Gilligan was played by Bob Denver. We know he was the right one, but which character is WRONG?

Answer: Tina Louise played Mary Ann Summers

The cute Dawn Wells played the role of Mary Ann and Tina played the role of Ginger.

Mary Ann was one of seven people stranded on the island, along with the Professor and Gilligan too. She also played in a couple of the return movies, "Rescue from Gilligan's Island" and "The Castaways on Gilligan's Island" in the 70s.

The television series lasted from 1964 to 1967.
2. Let's click the dial two to the right and find out which 'green' monster we are talking about in this question. When David Banner got angry, he would turn into 'The Incredible Hulk". Who was the RIGHT actor to play the NICE guy David Banner in 70s?

Answer: Bill Bixby

Bill played roles in many television shows over the years and finally hit it big with 'The Incredible Hulk' in 1977.

He went on to star in a few television movies in the 80s and 90s as the Doctor too. "The Death of the Incredible Hulk" was made in 1990.

Bill also died in the 90s in California, from cancer.
3. If you clicked your dial enough times, you would see Mary Tyler Moore, who was known as Mary Richards in three of these television shows. Which one is the WRONG option?

Answer: "Mary" (1985)

"Mary" was a short lived series for only one season. Mary played the role of Mary Brenner. She had a great cast with James Farentino, John Astin and Katey Sagal, but failed to make a break on this show.

The favorite was Mary tossing her hat in the air in Minneapolis in the television show that ran from 1970 to 1977 with Lou Grant and the gang.

She made guests appearances on both "Phyllis" and "Rhoda" as Mary Richards too.
4. I'm going to turn my dial to a crime show. I'm only giving you a few words on this one. I'm sure you'll know this guy. Trench coat! Got it yet? Cigar. Maybe now? Glass eye? Okay, can you figure out what detective show I'm watching?

Answer: Columbo

Peter Falk has been entertaining us since 1971 as Lt. Columbo. You may think he was clueless, but not at all. He would hold his forehead and say, "there's just something I don't understand..." The next thing you know, you're being arrested for murder! Peter passed away in 2011, but he'll always be in my memory as Columbo.
5. "Lost In Space" ran only a few seasons in the 60s. The Robinson family: there was the mom, the dad and the kids. Which one is the WRONG member of the family?

Answer: Major Don Robinson

Major Don West, not Robinson was played by Mark Goddard. The father was Professor John Robinson. June Lockhart played the role of the mother, Judy. The two children were played by Bill Mumy and Angela Cartwright.

The show ran for only three seasons, but it was well known for the phrase, "Danger Will Robinson, Danger".
6. Larry Hagman was known as the ruthless oil man, JR Ewing for many years on the television show, "Dallas". Now, rewind that dial back from 1978 to 1965. We see Larry sitting on the couch, reading a paper and now his name is Anthony Nelson. What role did Bill Daily play in the television show, "I Dream of Jeannie"?

Answer: his friend, Major Roger Healey

Larry Hagman was actually born in Texas. Probably why that southern twang kicked in so well with his role of JR Ewing. He played the role so well, he was the major star of the show for over ten years. The newer "Dallas" television series just started in 2012, but sadly, Larry Hagman passed away during this run.

Larry was promoted from Captain to Major in the television show, "I Dream of Jeannie" with Barbara Eden in 1965. The show ran for 5 seasons and kept us laughing through many episodes.
7. Turning the dial brought me to this show with a whole lotta loving going on. Everyone in this family knew better than to not get along. At the end of the day, as all were laying in bed, each one said 'good night' to the next. The name of the show was, 'The Waltons'. Which boy was the oldest in the family?

Answer: John-Boy

Richard Thomas started off playing the role of John-Boy in 1971 and the series ran for 10 years. It was great to see the TV movies years later and how everyone had changed over the years. "A Walton Easter" brought the family together in 1997. That show wasn't a comedy but it seemed to always put a smile on your face. Thanks John-Boy!
8. I would turn my dial and wait patiently to hear the theme song of "Bonanza" with this family. They were the Cartwright family. Ben was widowed and raised the boys with little help. What was the WRONG Cartwright son?

Answer: Hop Sing

Pernell Roberts played the role of Adam. Dan Blocker was Eric, nicknamed Hoss. Michael Landon played the role of Little Joe.

Hop Sing was the cook for the family and was played by Victor Sen Yung.

The show ran for 14 seasons and I for one was always anxiously awaiting the theme song every week. One of my favorite shows growing up.
9. Turning the dial to the right you would find out that there was only something right about the Six Million Dollar Man. There could be nothing wrong with him, because he was made out of Bionic parts. He had a bionic left eye, bionic legs and even a bionic right arm. What was the bionic man's real name, not the actor?

Answer: Steve Austin

Lee Majors played the role of Steve for only four seasons, but he did reprise the role in the television show, "The Bionic Woman" too. He made a few television movies also, including, "The The Six Million Dollar Man: Wine, Women and War".

Lee Majors was in many top rated shows over the years. He started his streak in "The Big Valley" and went on to "The Virginian" and then to "Owen Marshall" before "The Six Million Dollar Man".
10. Click the dial three times to the left and you heard this song, "I woke up in love this morning, I woke up in love this morning..." This wonderful mom had time to do it all. Take care of five children, drive a bus and have a career with her children on stage singing. We all remember the children. There was Keith, Laurie, Danny Tracy and, oh darn, what was the little boy's name that played the drums? Don't give me the wrong name this time, only the right one!

Answer: Christopher

Christopher was the only child to be replaced during the series. Jeremy Gelbwaks started the role in 1970 and was replaced by Brian Forster in 1971.

Rumor had it that Jeremy was replaced because he was a always creating trouble, but IMDb.com says that his family moved away. Jeremy never appeared in another episode of "The Partridge Family".
