Answer: Freddy Fleet

In two previous episodes that deal with guitar player Jim Lindsey, the traveling band was known as "Bobby Fleet and his Band with a Beat". The writers of the show actually admitted later that they made a continuity error when they wrote in the name Freddy instead of Bobby.
2. Aunt Bee is known for being a great cook but there is one thing she doesn't make very well at all. What food item does she make that isn't very good?

Answer: pickles

In the episode "The Pickle Story", Aunt Bee makes a batch of pickles and they are so bad that Andy and Barney switch them out for store bought pickles. When Aunt Bee decides to enter the pickles in a contest, Andy, Barney, and Opie have to eat all the store pickles before Aunt Bee can enter them into the contest. Aunt Bee then makes another batch for the contest and they are so bad that the judges think they are made with kerosene.
3. In the episode "Cousin Virgil", Virgil comes to Mayberry to visit his cousin Barney. Where does Virgil live?

When cousin Virgil comes to town, Andy and Barney find out that he is all thumbs and messes up everything that he does. Virgil tries hard but can't do anything right. When he cleans the jail keys for Barney, he accidentally files off the notches on the keys and Otis is unable to get out of his cell. Virgil explains that the reason he messes up al the time is because he can't do things when people watch him. Andy then tells Virgil that he and Otis wont watch him while he figures out how to get the jail door open. With nobody watching, Virgil manages to remove the door and Otis is finally able leave.

In the episode, Henry gets so upset at being called a jinx and he decides that the town would be better off if he just packed up and left. Saddened by Henry's decision, the town holds a fixed raffle where all the winning numbers are 44, thus assuring that Henry will get the winning number.

When the winning number is called, Henry doesn't say anything. When Barney checks Henry's number, he finds that Henry accidentally pulled out the hat size tag out of the hat instead of a ticket.
5. In the episode "Sheriff Barney", what is the name of the town that wants Barney to be their sheriff?

Answer: Greendale

When the people of Greendale read about how good the Sheriff's department is in Mayberry, they offer Barney a chance to become sheriff of their town. In order to test Barney, Andy lets Barney become sheriff for the day to see how he handles the responsibility. Barney finds out that he isn't ready to be a sheriff when he isn't able to figure out how to solve simple problems without locking people up.
6. In the episode "The Merchant of Mayberry" Andy and Barney set up a little stand in a vacant lot for door to door salesman Bert Miller. When Bert Miller comes to town, he starts selling his wares on the street. Ben Weaver complains and tells Andy that it is a illegal to sell on the street. Andy then moves Bert to a vacant lot and Ben then complains and states that Bert must have a roof. Andy then provides Bert with a large umbrella. Ben then states that a business must have a proper structure. Andy and Barney then build Bert a structure with a roof. Ben then decides to run Bert out of business by selling items at his store at a discount that Bert can't match. Defeated, Bert decides to fold up and Andy borrows a moving van from Stevens Department store to help Bert move all of his merchandise.

When Ben sees the Stevens truck, he assumes that Bert has teamed up with Stevens to sell Stevens merchandise in Mayberry.

Not wanting Stevens to get a foothold in Mayberry, Ben strikes a deal with Bert to buy all his merchandise and then hires him to work in his store.

When the bank decides to foreclose on Frank, he and Andy go through some of Franks valuables to see if there is anything he can sell to raise money. They discover that Frank has a very old bond issued by the town of Mayberry that is worth nearly $350,000.

The town doesn't have the money and is unable to pay Frank the money he is due but do agree to fix up his house for him. Later they find out that the bond is worthless because it was bought with confederate money.
8. In one episode, Floyd the barber takes on another barber in his shop. The other barber brings in his own customers from out of town. What is the other barber really doing in Floyd's shop?

Answer: He is running a horse race betting operation

When telephone operator Sarah overhears some of the new barber's conversations, she gossips about it to Aunt Bee. When Bee tells Andy what she heard, Andy figures out what's really going on and tells Barney. Barney comes up with a plan to disguise himself as a little old lady in order to place a bet in the barber shop.

A ruckus breaks out in the shop but Andy and Barney manage to catch the crooks red-handed.
9. In the episode "The Clubmen", what is the name of the exclusive club that Andy and Barney have a chance to join?

Answer: The Esquire Club

When Andy and Barney go to visit the club, Barney tries so hard to act sophisticated that he ends up looking like a boob. Later, while waiting to see if they were accepted into the club, Andy finds out that the club wants him but not Barney. Andy declines joining and later tells Barney that the club only wanted to accept one of them. Of course Barney immediately assumes that it was Andy who was not accepted and decides to send a letter of resignation to the club.
10. In the episode "Opie's Hobo Friend", a hobo played by Buddy Ebsen shows Opie how to get free gumballs from a gumball machine by tapping on the top and using a magic word. What was the magic word?

Answer: Tuscarora

Opie becomes enamored with his new hobo friend and Andy become worried that the hobo is leading Opie down the wrong path of life. When the hobo talks with Andy, he realizes that he should leave town but before he does, he steals Aunt Bee's purse to show Opie that he's not the nice guy that Opie thinks he is. Opie then turns his back on the hobo and walks away.

The hobo actually took the purse from the garbage can and made it seem like he stole it. Andy then thanks the hobo and lets him catch a train out of town.
