The Contest Trivia Quiz

Answer: Glamour

This episode is a bit tricky to keep clean. In this episode, the group decides to have a contest to see how long each can be 'masters of their domains'. This happens after George's mother catches him in the bathroom with a "Glamour" magazine. She ends up hurting her back and she's put into the hospital.

The whole group decides to participate in the contest and each guy put $100 into the bet. They tell Elaine to put in extra because she's a woman and she does. Each one decides to be honest about their results and they make the pact.

Kramer ends up giving in the following day after a naked woman is in an apartment directly across from Jerry's. His entrance when he slams his bet on the counter is arguably the most memorable of Kramer's entrances in the series. It is also Kramer's hundredth entrance in the series (according to the "Seinfeld" Season 4 DVD).

Shelly appears at the hospital visiting George's mother because of her back injury. George's mother returns to the hospital later in this season in the episode, "The Outing" after hearing rumors that George is a homosexual.

Although Elaine was less than thrilled about going back to her aerobics class, she was excited that she was getting a spot behind JFK. JFK is the reason why she later loses the contest and her $150.

George is eager to watch the woman in his mother's room get a sponge bath, but Estelle is worried that he won't make it to the deli to get a sandwich for him. George tells her to eat Tic-tacs while he's there. This is a clear example of how George and his family act through the whole series.

Jerry watches "Tiny Toons" to take his mind off of the naked woman across from his apartment. Kramer on the other hand ends up watching the woman while Jerry watches his show. Jerry explains that the show is innocent, and wholesome.

Elaine loses the contest because of John F. Kennedy Jr. She ends up going to Jerry's apartment to deliver her part of the bet, and George and Jerry are the two remaining participants.

Jerry and George begin to get restless and irritable because of the contest and George snaps at Jerry saying that he's wearing his socks. Later that night, Marla and Jerry break up when Jerry explains the contest to her.

After breaking up with Jerry, Marla meets John F. Kennedy Jr. who was supposed to be meeting Elaine in the street and they get together. In the end, everyone is finished with the contest. We don't know who really wins until the show's finale, when George admits to have cheated.
