Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. What does Jerry lose in the beginning of the episode?

Answer: His remote

While Jerry is looking for the remote, Kramer comes in and Jerry points out that Kramer is acting weird. He only does half of the things he's supposed to. For example, he only shaved half of his face. This is all because he was kicked in the head in the previous episode, "The Pitch"
2. How much does Susan's dry cleaning bill cost?

Answer: $18

Jerry, George, and Kramer all chip in six dollars to have Susan's suede vest cleaned. In the previous episode, Kramer vomited on Susan after drinking from a carton of expired milk.
3. What does Jerry end up throwing away?

Answer: His watch

Jerry is disappointed that his watch is always ten minutes ahead, so he throws it in the garbage. The watch becomes part of the storyline in the next episode, "The Watch".
4. Who does Jerry run into on the street?

Answer: Uncle Leo

After talking with Uncle Leo, Leo finds Jerry's watch in the garbage can. In an episode aired in the near future, Leo also finds a wallet in the trash.
5. Why did George not shave before going to NBC?

Answer: He shaved the previous afternoon

Jerry tells George to be a little more flexible about the whole 'nothing' idea for the show because they were lucky to get a call back to discuss the sitcom. Susan said that she would help get the show on the air.
6. Who tries to help Newman in court?

Answer: Kramer

Kramer is in court to help support Newman's alibi. Newman tries to pull off the fact that he was rushing home to prevent Kramer from committing suicide.
7. Do George and Jerry get their pilot episode?

Answer: Yes

The president of NBC is fully confident that the two can write a sitcom, so he gives them the chance. In a future episode, their show will appear on the air.
8. Who calls Jerry at the NBC studios?

Answer: His mom

Right after their pilot was given the go-ahead, Jerry received the call. His mother was saying that he shouldn't have been rude to Uncle Leo who must've called right after he talked to Jerry.
9. How much money were George and Jerry offered for the pilot?

Answer: Thirteen thousand dollars

George originally expected to be earning about fifty thousand dollars, but together they'll be splitting the thirteen thousand. He goes on to argue that Ted Danson made eight thousand dollars an episode.
10. Elaine appears in this episode.

Answer: True

Julia Louis-Dreyfus has barely appeared in the past few episodes because she had recently had a baby. She appears in this episode on her vacation in Europe with her psychiatrist.
