Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. This character died in season two, stabbed in the chest by Rick. His zombie form was then shot in the head by Carl. Who was it?

Answer: Shane

Shane was a cop who served alongside his best friend, Rick. At around the time of Shane's demise, his friendship with Rick grew sour. Shane wanted to be with Rick's wife, Lori, but couldn't while he was alive. Shane brought Rick into the woods to look for an escaped prisoner they had (but in reality, Shane let him go and killed him so they could search).

As Shane was going to kill Rick, Rick stabbed him in the chest, killing him. Shane reanimated into a walker, and was put down by Rick's son, Carl.
2. During the season 4 mid-season finale, the Governor cut off somebody's head after a somewhat civil conversation with Rick. Who was the unlucky soul who was decapitated?

Answer: Hershel

Rick stood up the Governor (who was accompanied by his small army and a tank), telling them that they could all live in the prison to avoid anymore bloodshed. The Governor called him a liar, and used Michonne's katana to slice through Hershel's neck. This was followed by a firefight that lasted the rest of the episode.
3. During the season 4 mid-season finale, the Governor and Rick got into a fistfight. As the Governor gained the upper hand, Michonne ran him through with her katana. Who went over to the Governor as he was on the ground suffering?

Answer: Lilly

Lilly, the Governor's love interest, walked over to him near the end of the episode. As he began to cough up blood, she shakily raised a pistol and put him down.
4. Let's go back to season 3. While she was in Woodbury, Michonne killed a walker that was important to the Governor. Who was the walker?

Answer: His daughter, Penny

Michonne went into the Governor's house, where she killed the undead Penny. She then took a shard of glass and stabbed the Governor in the eye. Until his death in the mid-season 4 finale, the Governor had a hatred for Michonne for what she did.
5. Time to go back even farther to season 2! Yay! After Hershel's farmhand Otis accidentally shot Carl, he and Shane went out to get medicine for him. However, when Otis grabbed the medicine, they were attacked by a group of walkers. Since Otis was so slow, what did Shane do?

Answer: Shot him in the leg

Shane realized that Otis was hampering their progress, and they would soon be overrun by the walkers. Shane said "sorry" before shooting Otis in the leg. Shane grabbed the backpack with the medicine in it and made his escape. Otis was then eaten alive by the walkers, giving Shane enough time to escape the area.
6. Back to season 3! When Rick and his group got to the prison, they found five prisoners locked inside the cafeteria. Although some prisoners were on good terms with Rick's group, which one proved to be very dangerous, even trying to kill Rick several times?

Answer: Tomas

Tomas tried to kill Rick several times, including almost slicing him with a machete in a fight with walkers, and throwing a walker on top of him. After the mishap with the machete, Rick stayed relatively quiet as he stared at him. Rick then brought up his machete, bringing it down on Tomas' head, killing him.
7. In season 3, the last prisoner to die was Axel, who was killed in an attack on the prison. How was he killed?

Answer: Shot in the head

He and Carol were talking about life before the apocalypse, and how things were so much simpler with rules. As he went on about how his brother never gave him money for anything, a gunshot rang out. Once Axel fell dead, the trigger man was revealed to be the Governor, who shot him from afar. Carol dropped to the ground, using Axel's dead body to protect her from the barrage of bullets.
8. The next character we'll take a look at is probably the one that received the most negative outlook. Lori Grimes died in the prison during season 3. Who shot her in the head so she wouldn't reanimate?

Answer: Carl

Maggie had to help Lori deliver her baby. However, Maggie was forced to perform an emergency C-section, in which Lori lost large amounts of blood. The baby, Judith, was born healthy, but Lori's fate was sealed. Carl showed up not too long after, and with a heavy heart, shot his mother in the head so she would not come back as a walker.
9. Another season 3 question! Hooray! Near the end of the season 3 finale "Welcome to the Tombs" the Governor's army retreated from the prison after attempting to launch an all-out assault. The Governor stopped them on the road and opened fire, killing nearly everyone. Who stood up to the Governor, only to be shot in the head?

Answer: Allen

After the Governor killed over twenty of his own army, Allen raised his gun and was prepared to kill the Governor. However, he couldn't bring himself to do it. The Governor raised his pistol and shot Allen in the head. The only ones left alive were Martinez and Shumpert.
10. Now, it's back to season 4! After the Governor met back up with Martinez, they played golf on top of an RV. Martinez told him that Shumpert was bitten, and he put him down. The Governor, during the episode, killed those in the small group they had that threatened his leadership. He took his golf club and hit Martinez in the head before doing what?

Answer: Throwing him into a pit of walkers

The Governor dragged Martinez over to a pit full of walkers. Martinez tried to break free, but was unable to. The Governor put his head down into the pit, where he was grabbed by the walkers and devoured. With all competition out of the way, the Governor took control of the small group, turning it into an army.
