Alfalfa was played by Carl Switzer. He starred on the "Little Rascals" from 1935 to 1940.

Buckwheat was first played by Carlena Beard, the younger sister of fellow cast member Matthew "Stymie" Beard. Billie Thomas took over the role, making his first appearance in 1934 and stayed with it until the series' cancellation in 1942.
