Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. In the trailer advertisements for "Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney", what was stated as "his only weapon"?

Answer: "a passionate heart burning red"

In the trailer ad for the game, the words "His only weapon: a passionate heart burning red!" were layered over a picture of Apollo pointing and Trucy behind him, rooting him onwards. It then faded out to his "Objection!"
2. During the Gavinners concert, Apollo said that he didn't like something. What was it?

Answer: Loud music

During the concert, he made it clear that loud music wasn't his thing. Incidentally, he also says he doesn't like heights during the game.
3. Which accessory of Apollo's allows him to use the Perceive System?

Answer: His bracelet

His bracelet, given to him by his birth mother, Thalassa Gramarye, helps him "perceive" the truth by helping him notice nervous habits. Trucy also has this power, but she does not need an aid to use it.
4. Apollo was originally the pupil of Phoenix Wright.

Answer: False

He was originally the pupil of Kristoph Gavin, brother of prosecutor Klavier Gavin, and Phoenix's (former) good friend. After Apollo (with the help of Phoenix) got Kristoph convicted for murder, he teamed up with Wright and Trucy.
5. Who is Apollo's biological mother?

Answer: Thalassa Gramarye

She's also known as Lamiroir and Juror 6. She took a break from the Gramarye Magic Troupe, married a performer, and had a child. She named him Apollo. The performer then died, and whom she left the child with is unknown, but she did return to the troupe without him.

By the end of the game, Apollo does not know his mother's identity, but Thalassa discovers her sons'. Incidentally, Phoenix has no wife and there is no such character as "Megan Justice."
6. What is Apollo Justice's name in the Japanese version of the game?

Answer: Housuke Odoroki

Odoroki literally means "a surprise" in Japanese. The Japanese character for "hou" means "law." "-suke" is a common ending for boys' names in Japan. So, his first name pretty much means "law boy." The production team almost named him Ikinari, which means "all of a sudden." Naruhodou Ryuuchi is Phoenix's Japanese name, Tomoe Houdzuki is Lana Skye's, and Teruo Ukari is Pal Meraktis' name in the Japanese version this game.
7. Apollo received his power from his mother's side of the family.

Answer: True

He received his powers from his mother, Thalassa Gramarye. The Perceiving power runs in the Gramarye blood (all from the direct bloodline of Magnifi Gramarye), this is why Trucy has it also. Nothing is really known about Apollo's father, except that he was an entertainer of sorts.
8. What age is Apollo during "Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney"?

Answer: 22

He is a young upstart and, if going by the American college system, must have skipped two grades somewhere in his education in order to have finished college and law school in this amount time. The game does not specify which years skipped or how this is otherwise possible.
9. According to the character artists, the spikes in Apollo's hair occur naturally.

Answer: False

No, "he has to carefully gel them that way every morning" says character artist Nuri. A common way of referring to his hair among fans is by calling them "antennae."
10. On Apollo's official art, his attorney's badge is pinned to his left lapel.

Answer: True

It is pinned to the left lapel of his red vest. When Phoenix and Mia were attorneys, they also wore their pins on their left lapel.
