This is the prequel to "Baten Kaitos: Eternal Wings and the Lost Ocean". Both are with amazing storylines, which I highly recommend for all of those experiencing a good video game drought. Have fun! *Contains spoilers!*

Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Which of the following was not a member of the party that traveled throughout the game?

Answer: Verus

Quaestor Verus was the man in charge of the Imperial Army with whom Sagi and friends teamed up in the battle to stop Baelheit.

Sagi was the main character; his "spirit" was actually the real-life player of the game.
Guillo looked like a puppet who had been with Sagi since his childhood.
Milliarde was the daughter of Baelheit, but she didn't tell us that until far in the game.
2. Sagi originally came from which of the floating continents?

Answer: Hasseleh

Sagi, along with his mother and sister, were from Hasseleh. Part of the floating continent Hasseleh was destroyed by Valara and her paramachina after Sagi returned as a hero from Lake Botein.

Guillo is originally from the past (created in Duhr) but after his mission of destroying Malpercio had been completed, he collapsed on the spot and when Earth split and rose to the sky, Guillo was left buried in Hasseleh, where Sagi found and rescued him.

Milliarde is originally from Alfard. Her father, Baelheit, is leader of the Dark Service located near Lesser Mintaka.
3. Which floating continent do we hear about in the game, but never actually get to visit?

Answer: Mira

Mira was the inter-dimensional continent that could be seen in Sagi's dimension only during night-time. This was the place where Sagi and Milliarde got married at the end of the game (but this was during the final cutscene - the player couldn't go to Mira voluntarily).

Sadaal Suud was the continent which Lord Rodolfo is in charge of. It can be visited anytime after access to the Sfida has been granted.

Naos was the 'ship' that belongs in the far past. This was where Wiseman killed all of its inhabitants, leading the conclusion that the group should seek help from the Dark Brethren.

Finally, Seginus was a replica of Guillo, which never activated properly for the Duhr wizards when Malpercio was on the loose.
4. Which of the following were killed as a result of the Machina Vanguard?

Answer: Rambari

Rambari, father of Gibari, sacrificed his life in order to save King Ladekahn from being slain by Shanath. Despite the heroic effort, the Vanguard succeeded in securing the afterling because Sagi was involuntarily taken back to the past.

Gena wasn't killed per se, but she had her wings pulled out (in front of Sagi, no less) and this caused her to become very weak. After bringing her heartenbrace from the past, she slowly began to recover.
Celsica wasn't killed either, but she was hurt by the Vanguard when she turned into an afterling and was attacked by Nasca. It was discovered very late in the game that she's alive, and she was eventually set free by Sagi and company.
Almarde was struck by an imperial soldier during the struggle with Bein, however she recovered quickly and soon thereafter tended to the wounded as a nurse.
5. What did Seph and Thoran keep calling Sagi when he was first brought back into the past?

Answer: Marno

They kept calling him Marno because Sagi's spirit (the player) used to be a part of the group that formed Malpercio 1,000 years before Sagi's time. While confused, Sagi didn't bother to question it.

In "Baten Kaitos Origins", Malpercio was the team of five combined and given power by the Dark Brethren; Marno, Seph, Thoran, Pieda, and Ven. Although their intentions were good, their judgment was compromised by the Dark Brethren and they killed many people. They were eventually stopped and killed by the wizards of Duhr. In "Baten Kaitos: Eternal Wings and the Lost Ocean", Malpercio was the remainders of the wicked god of the past fused together.
Kalas was the main character in "Baten Kaitos: Eternal Wings of the Lost Ocean", and although he was never mentioned by name in "Baten Kaitos Origins", the very end of the game alludes to him when Geldoblame told the senators to "bring him Georg".
Finally, in "Baten Kaitos Origins", Geldoblame was the Quaestor's attendant, both kind-hearted and good in nature. After he realized that the Quaestor used him as a pawn, he had a change of heart and became evil, thus the sequel ("Baten Kaitos: Eternal Wings and the Lost Ocean").
6. Which of the following was not a boss whose remains Sagi could turn into Magnus in order to revive it for the Coliseum?

Answer: Cicada Golem

The Cicada Golem can be found in both the Coliseum and deep in Tarazed. It was a giant cicada-looking enemy who could heal when badly hurt. In the Coliseum, Sagi and party had to fight two of these at once, in the championship battle.

The Sandfeeder was the boss who attacked when Sagi and company had almost made it Naos, at the end of the Sandfeeder's Nest. After having been vanquished, Sagi can turn the Sandfeeder Silk (found in the belly of the Sandfeeder) into Magnus, and take it to the researcher at the Coliseum to revive.

The Holoholobird attacked shortly after the Sfida was attacked and brought down by the Dark Service. The Holoholobird was a cannibal and carnivore, as it ate its offspring in order to recover energy when it had been injured. Its remains was the Holoholobird's Plume, and it could be found in Holoholo Jungle.

The Black Dragon was an ally of Wiseman's, and it attacked Sagi and company when Wiseman was approached (after Malpercio had been killed). This was quite a formidable boss - in my experience, THE most difficult. The Black Dragon's Horn was the remains left behind, at the Battlefields of Atria.
7. At the very beginning of the game, who was the "ruler" of Alfard?

Answer: Emperor Olgan

Emperor Olgan was the leader of Alfard, with Lord Baelheit in charge of the Dark Service and Quaestor Verus in charge of the Imperial Army. Geldoblame was merely Verus' assistant - he had no leading role in "Baten Kaitos Origins". It was Olgan who demanded that humans be fused with the remains of Malpercio in order to create artificial spiriters, but his plan failed when the test subjects retaliated and destroyed the laboratory, including Baelheit's family. Olgan was assassinated early in the game by Baelheit, who had framed Sagi.
8. Which of the following worlds must Sagi re-create by collecting its scattered Magnus piece by piece?

Answer: Sedna

The Magnus Town of Sedna could only be accessed using the blue save flower after the Sandfeeder had been defeated. Sagi was occasionally rewarded after having returned a number of Sedna to its former glory.

Matar Highlands is where the heavy downpour of rain occurred in the past that made Sagi collapse if exposed for too long. It was also the place where the heartenbrace for Gena could be found.

The Nekkar Quietlands was the island that Milliarde spent much time during childhood. Once revisited as an adult, Sagi and company realized that Milliarde's creations had been destroyed. One of the side-quests in the game was to fix that which had been destroyed, presumably by time.

Finally, Wazn didn't exist in "Baten Kaitos Origins". Or rather, it may have existed, but it wasn't displayed on the world overview and it was never mentioned. It wasn't until "Baten Kaitos: Eternal Wings and the Lost Ocean" that Wazn had been introduced.
9. Which of the following characters could not be safely assumed to have been attracted to Sagi?

Answer: Almarde

Almarde was old enough to be Sagi's mother. She wasn't attracted him nor could we find anything that would hint at the suggestion.

Milliarde and Sagi had a never-ending care for one another. The way Milliarde got jealous when Lolo jumped all over him was a clear-cut sign that there was some romantic interest in there.

Lolo's actions spoke more clearly than she herself did. She was so obsessed that she couldn't keep off of him whenever she'd get excited. He was her hero for doing the miraculous deed of bringing her Fell Branches from the Celestial Tree. Feh... I could do it :)

Finally, Guillo was somewhat of a question mark, primarily because s/he had both a male and female voice (the combination of the wizards of Duhr from times long past). However, Guillo admitted the attraction in a cut-scene during the first trip to Anuenue when s/he mentioned being in a "love quadrangle".
10. To our surprise, who betrayed Sagi at the end of the game?

Answer: Quaestor Verus

Quaestor Verus was indeed evil. Throughout the entirety of the game, Sagi and company were under the influence that the Quaestor wanted to stop Baelheit and promote peace and prosperity to Alfard and the other nations. But as soon as Sagi defeated Baelheit, in stepped Verus revealing his master plan. He even betrayed Geldoblame, his die-hard second-in-command.

Gena was Sagi's mother. She had never done anything throughout the game to cause him a negative impact.

Guillo was loyal and truthful throughout the game as well. S/he stuck by Sagi through the best and worst of times. S/he was quite an admirable side-kick for all games that I've played, in fact.

Finally, Quzman had almost no significance to the game. He was one of the guys locked in Alfard's sewer prison cells, and once released, he gave Pac-Man to Sagi. Pac-Man was quite a burden, for he ate all of Sagi's disposable Magnus. If Pac-Man ate all the types of Magnus in the game (over 100), the longest side-quest of the game will have been completed and all of Sagi's hits become critical hits.
