1. In the opening cinematic of the game, what was the LAST thing that Trish threw at Dante?

Answer: A motorcycle

This scene was awesome. Trish walks into his shop, then proceeds to beat the crap out of him. She then proceeds to impale him with his own sword, then hold him down with lightning. She taunts him by asking if he REALLY was the son of Sparda. "Didn't your daddy teach you how to use a sword?" She then picks up her motorcycle and throws it at him. From that point, we begin to see the power of our main character as he shoots the motorcycle away with his guns and pulls the sword out of himself.

Answer: Luce & Ombre

Ebony & Ivory are the guns wielded by Dante originally. Nightmare Beta is only one gun that is found much later in the game. The Grenade Launcher isn't found until mission 9.

3. All of the secret missions in this game give you one blue orb fragment except one. One of them gives you a full blue orb. What secret mission number is this and what mission is located?

Answer: Secret Mission 12; Mission 21

Secret mission 10 is actually in mission 16 and Secret mission 11 is in mission 17. Mission 22 is the fight with Mundus, so there would be no secret mission.

This is a little known fact, but if you make him jump on the glass above the room you initially enter in mission 1 five times, this will make him fall through to his death. This is very useful if you're trying to achieve high ranks.

5. When is Dante ultimately able to "devil trigger" with the Sparda sword?

Answer: During the second battle with Mundus

This sword is unbelievably powerful, but it's annoying that you can't "devil trigger" with this until the second battle with Mundus. This is especially unfortunate when you go through the game again with all of your items on Hard Mode.

6. What "devil arm" allows Dante to fly for a brief period of time?

Answer: Alastor

If you selected Nevan, you're thinking of "Devil May Cry 3". Ifrit allows Dante to use hand to hand combat, while Force Edge is the weapon that you start with. You have to purchase "Air Raid" in order to use this ability.

7. What is the most expensive ABILITY that can be purchased?

Answer: Inferno

Air Hike comes close at 4000 orbs, but inferno is over 4800 orbs making it the most expensive and powerful ability that can be purchased. Stinger Level 2 and Air Hike can be purchased fairly cheap at 1550 and 750 orbs respectively.

8. How many orbs do you receive if you receive a "Special Bonus" on a mission?

Answer: 2000 orbs

You receive this ranking if you don't take any damage, receive the orb requirement for that mission, AND meet the time requirement. It's a very difficult task, especially on harder difficulties.

9. Why does Dante save Trish's life after the "Showdown with Nightmare"?

Answer: Because she looks like his mother.

He saves her despite the fact that she double-crossed him. When she inquired as to why Dante saved her life, he replied, "Because you look like my mother."

10. How many missions allow you to swim under water with a first-person perspective?

Answer: Three

This is my one gripe about this game, as I really hate first person shooters. Mission 12 and 13 when you board the ship is when you're first introduced to first person swimming. Mission 18 when you jump into the painting is the other.
