You meet Kaeli to help cross Level Forest. She starts off with an axe, which she gave to Benjamin after she got sick defeating Minotaur. She later helped you go through Alive Forest and Windia to get the Air Crystal, during which time she used the Giant Axe.

The other three names are the other partners in the game. Tristam was a treasure hunter who helped you get the Earth Crystal from the Bone Dungeon and gave you bombs and (later in the game) the Dragon Claw, which he took from a treasure chest in Bone Dungeon. He used ninja stars as a weapon. Phoebe joined you in Aquaria and helped rescue the Water Crystal, as well as being your companion in the final dungeon. She also gave you the Cat Claw. She used the Cat Claw as a weapon until she gave it to you, at which point she switched to using the Bow of Grace. Reuben was your ally in Fireburg when you recovered the Fire Crystal. He used a morningstar.

Yes, the final boss was cleverly named Dark King. He had four forms. He started as an old man win a royal crown, royal cape and green skin. In his second form, he had 8 arms, each holding a weapon, while his third form was a giant spider. In his fourth form, his spider legs were replaced by tentacles.

Because of a bug, Cure does over 10,000 damage on the final boss. Other spells do around 500-1,000 damage, as do weapon attacks.
