Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Sora's basic weapon is the Kingdom Key, but what is its ability, and what does it do?

Answer: Defender, +2 Defence in critical situations

The Kingdom Key's Defender ability increases Sora's (or Roxas') defence by 2 points if his health falls to 25% or below, allowing him to survive for a bit longer. The Kingdom Key was also the basic weapon of Sora in the first "Kingdom Hearts" game and was Roxas' weapon in the prologue of "Kingdom Hearts II" except in his battle with Axel.
2. Which of these Keyblades is named after an organization in another Square Enix game?

Answer: Gull Wing

The Gull Wings are a sphere-hunting band from "Final Fantasy X-2" and contain the main characters of the game, Yuna, Rikku and Paine. The three appear as treasure hunting fairies in "Kingdom Hearts II" and give Sora the Gull Wing Keyblade after the Battle of 1,000 Heartless.
3. Which of these lists is in the correct order from lowest magic rating to highest?

Answer: Circle of Life, Oathkeeper, Ultima Weapon, Fatal Crest

Circle of Life has a magic rating of 1, Oathkeeper has 3, Ultima Weapon has 4 and Fatal Crest has 5. Fatal Crest also has the Berserker ability meaning that the player can unleash unlimited combos during the MP Charge phase, as it cancels combo finishes.
4. Where does Sora obtain the Bond of Flame Keyblade?

Answer: Betwixt and Between

Axel gives Sora the Keyblade after sacrificing himself so Sora could reach The World That Never Was. The Keyblade resembles Axel's chakram connected by a black rod and the Keychain is a miniature version of Axel's chakram.
5. What is the Keychain of the Guardian Soul Keyblade?

Answer: A jug of nog

The jug of nog is from "Final Fantasy X" and Auron carried it with him at all times, but in "Kingdom Hearts II" it was missing. Auron would drink from the jug when he used his Overdrive: Banishing Blade, before spitting on his blade and firing orbs from it.
6. What do the Decisive Pumpkin Keyblade and the Pumpkin Head Keyblade from "Kingdom Hearts" have in common?

Answer: They both feature Jack Skellington's head

Both Keyblades are also themed on the the movie "Tim Burton's A Nightmare Before Christmas" and appear in levels based on the aformentioned movie. In keeping with the themes of the movie, both have some features reminiscent of Halloween, although "Pumpkinhead" is much more gothic in it's design, whereas the "Decisive Pumpkin" is more festive, featuring a candy cane design.

However, despite it's Christmas feel, it is still based on a section of the movie, where the protagonist, Jack Skellington, travels to "Christmas Town".
7. Which of these Keyblades doesn't appear in "Kingdom Hearts II", including the Final Mix + version?

Answer: One Winged Angel

One Winged Angel is available only in "Kingdom Hearts: Final Mix" and is based on Sephiroth, as he is the One-Winged Angel. The other three appear in "Kingdom Hearts: Final Mix +". Mushroom XIII is available by completing the Mushroom XIII missions, the Fateful Encounter is also the name of the fight between Sora and Roxas in The World That Never Was and Diamond Dust appears in "Final Fantasy X" as the Overdrive of the Aeon, Shiva. Diamond Dust is also available in the previous game, although only in the Final Mix version, as a reward for beating the Ice Titan in Olympus Coliseum.
8. How many Keyblades have Keychains that appear in "Kingdom Hearts" as well?

Answer: Seven

Kingdom Keys' Mickey head and Mickey's Kingdom Key from the Realm of Darkness' alternate the colour of Mickey's head, Oathkeeper appears in both games, as does Oblivion, so their Keychains are the same. Hero's Crest and Wishing Lamp's Keychains, (Hercules' medal and Aladdin's lamp, respectively) also appear in both games. Finally, Sleeping Lion's lion head is the same as Lionheart from the first game. Strangely, Ultima Weapon's Keychain isn't the same despite it's appearance in both games (there are some subtle differences).
9. Star Seeker is obtained where, and at what battle level?

Answer: Twilight Town: The Tower Wardrobe, Battle Level 6

In the wardrobe, Sora is given the Drive Guage, the Valor Form and the Star Seeker Keyblade by Flora, Fauna and Merryweather (the three fairies from "Sleeping Beauty") but Sora can't use his new Keyblade unless he is in Valor Form, which allows two Keyblades be used. However, once he obtains his next Keyblade, he may switch his Keyblades between Forms at will.
10. When is the Circle of Life Keyblade obtained?

Answer: After the second conversation in the Oasis in the Pride Lands

Once the second conversation has taken place, Simba rejoins the party and Sora gets the Circle of Life Keyblade, which has Strength 4, Magic 1 and the ability to shorten the MP Charge phase. While Sora is in the Pride Lands, he takes on the form of a lion cub and wields his Keyblade in his mouth.
