It was the Montecarlo, the 2 litre mid engined car designed by Pininfarina.

It was indeed the 1498cc engine which was a longer stroked version of the original 128 1300cc engine.

Characterised by its very wide wheel arches and the big tail fin, Dallara stretched the wheel base by another 3cms to provide more stability.

The IN version was fuel injected and aircon (with a targa roof?), this was never imported to the UK.
