With 192 countries representing almost the entire world population, the United Nations is the largest international organization in the world. It was founded by 51 countries in 1945.

Answer: Norway

The European Union was established in 1991 to bring the existing European communities under a common framework, and to increase co-operation in homeland security and foreign policy. In 2004, the EU saw it's biggest extension so far with 10 new member states joining. As one of only few European countries, Norway repeatedly voted 'no' on joining the EU.
