The song "Convoy" written by Boxcar Willie and made popular by C.W. McCall referred to Los Angeles, Ca as Shakey Town (earthquakes, you see)

Origin of 'shaky town': CB slang for Los Angeles, California

In 1978, the movie "Convoy" was released, starring Kris Kristofferson, Ali McGraw, Ernest Borgnine and Burt Young. The movie was based on the 1975 song of the same name, sung by C.W. McCall. The film was made when the CB radio/trucker craze was at its peak in the United States.
