I have a Major General -- But, half suspect that if you wanted Major Generals, you'd have said as much.
Joseph Wheeler -- He has the rare distinction of serving as a general during war time for two opposing forces: first as a major general in the Confederate States Army during the American Civil War and later as a major general in the U.S. Army during the Spanish-American War and Philippine-American War.

Not only is Joseph Wheeler obviously a correct answer, this site claims that he is the only correct answer:
http://www.archives.state.al.us/famous/j_wheel.html
"Joseph Wheeler was the only Confederate general to attain the same rank later in the United States Army. Three decades after he commanded Confederate cavalry forces, he volunteered at the outbreak of the Spanish-American War and was commissioned a Major General of Volunteers in Cuba. He later became a Brigadier General of the Regular Army in the Philippines."
However, this site lists three other Confederate generals who had general-rank commands in the U.S. Volunteers during the Spanish-American War: Matthew Butler, Fitzhugh Lee and Thomas Rosser.
