Ok, whats everyone reading now, and how are you liking it, would you recommend it?

I am re-reading Stephen Kings' "The Stand", I read it years ago as a young teen, and it went over my head, so I thought I'd give it another shot, now that Im older and wiser(?). Wish Me Luck! S.

I just finished "The Radioactive Boy Scout" which is written by LA Times reporter Ken Silverstein. It's a true story about a teenager who built a model nuclear reacter in his backyard. I thought it was very good and I would recommend it.

Just finished "Sweet Land Stories' by EL Doctorow. Very impressive,I hadn't really read much of his stuff, just "Ragtime'. Not quite sure what I'm onto next. I've got several books lined up, but I keep getting bushwacked by PG Wodehouse - I fully intend to read some worthy work of serious literature, and instead I'm giggling over silly silly Bertie.

The Davinci Code sounds very interesting, but I do not know what it is about. Could somebody tell me?

I just finished the first book in Asimov's Foundation series, and am starting on the second.

"How the Garcia Girls Lost Their Accents" by Julia Alvarez. Didn't know anything about it, picked it up for 50 cents at a thrift shop. It's very good, about the immigrant experience, sort of.

Da Vinci Code was a superb read, I couldn't put it down. It's about a man who has to solve this murder thing by cracking all of these codes that da Vinci used... I have just finished The Dante Club by Matthew Pearl and WOW was it good. Of course, I am always reading my Harry Potter... :) -M.

I'm currently engrossed in 'The System of the World' by Neal Stephenson. It's the last in a trilogy called 'The Baroque Cycle', and I can't wait to finish it so I can see how the whole thing (which has spanned, in publication dates, a little over a year) comes to an end.

I'm really into "Northern Lights" by Nora Roberts. It's my first time reading her work. But it's good so far.

I'm reading "Dead men do Tell Tales" by Dr. William R. Maples. It's an excellent book on forensic anthropology.

My friend loaned me here forensic anthropology books, so I'm now reading "Bones: A Forensic Detective's Casebook" by Dr. Douglas Ubelaker and Henry Scammell. It's not as good as Dr. Maples' book, but it's still interesting.

I'm about halfway through 'Forever' by Jude Deveraux. It's real good so far! My mom recommended it to me, and after this one, I'm planning on reading, the next two in the series: 'Always' then 'Forever and Always'.

I just finished reading "O Pioneers!" by Willa Cather. Yesterday I started reading "Grace Notes" by Bernard MacLaverty, one of today's most talented Irish novelists.
