Oh yeah, and Wes and I are completing Hardcore Singles. ;) But we'll never tell which set we've chosen. Reply #1. Apr 02 12, 6:58 PM |

What happens if you don't finish in time? Reply #2. Apr 02 12, 7:04 PM |

You are out of the running for the win-- If you do want to take this on for the challenge it is, then staying within the five days is the big part of it. Tasks will continue to be posted every week; if you don't keep up it will really pile up. Some sprinters will be competitive and some will not; the goal with this is to have a bit of something for everybody-- the cool element of mysterious clues, the pressure for those who want it (with the time crunch), and the challenge. One more, how many tasks is there? Or is that a mystery? Reply #4. Apr 02 12, 7:11 PM |

Twelve. Reply #5. Apr 02 12, 7:13 PM |

All in all you'd expect to be writing twelve quizzes; it's one a week. If you work in pairs on the normal version, you'll be able to split them with a partner. Reply #6. Apr 02 12, 7:25 PM |

Count me in as a single, though if anyone wants to pair up with me, I'm more than happy to do so. Reply #7. Apr 02 12, 7:27 PM |

Normal or Hardcore? Reply #8. Apr 02 12, 7:29 PM |

I think I'll stick with Normal. That way, I can pick the less devilish task that you and Wes offer. ;p Reply #9. Apr 02 12, 7:32 PM |

You know what? I'll go Hardcore if that's okay. Though I know I'm going to regret it. ;p Reply #10. Apr 02 12, 7:39 PM |

Re: "You know what? I'll go Hardcore if that's okay. Though I know I'm going to regret it. ;p" --Set A or Set B? Re: "What happens if an odd number of people opt for teams?" --It shouldn't come to that; you guys are picking your own teams. If you post here that you're interested in forming a pair, I'm sure someone will contact you or, if others note their interest, you can contact them. :) Reply #12. Apr 02 12, 8:02 PM |

Let me make sure I understand this, you have to get the quiz written and online in five days correct? Reply #13. Apr 02 12, 8:21 PM |

Yes-- You have five days (excluding queue time). Reply #14. Apr 02 12, 8:22 PM |

Okay so if it takes 2 days to write and sits in queue for 4 days and one more day to fix a problem then 2 days more in queue that would still be within the 5 days because I only had it for 3 days total even though it would be 9 days calendar time. Reply #15. Apr 02 12, 8:25 PM |

You are correct. We can't control the queues, as we know, and it would be unfair to put the editors through another Amazing Race style challenge so soon after the last one. We will track quizzes by starting the clock at the time of the task's posting, stopping it the minute it goes into the queue, and restarting it if it comes back with corrections. Go over the five day limit and you will receive a time penalty which could compromise any time standings Wes and I post for you at the end of the thing. All in all, you're writing a quiz a week, and that doesn't match up to the intensity of the race at which point quizzes were submitted much quicker than five days. Reply #16. Apr 02 12, 8:28 PM |
