Welcome to Commission 40!
Now that it's 2016, perhaps you're going to resolve to join a Commission? Well, now's your chance to test your mettle with one of FunTrivia's longest-standing authorial rites of passage. Or, maybe you just want to try your hand with a title...again. ;)
'THIS IS' the theme. And yeah, I understand grammar. But it's hard to get the point across that all titles sent in for this commission need to have 'This is' in them. Effectively, our authors need to figure out and convey whatever 'this' may be. Titles can begin with 'This is' (eg. 'This is Sparta!'), or end with it (eg. 'Can You Name What This Is?'), or have it elsewhere (eg. 'You Know What This Is, Don't You?') as long as it's in there somewhere.
As is typical, please send the titles directly to my inbox via a personal message. You will receive a title, at random, from another participant on the launch date and you will complete a quiz with it. There are no other rules going here; you can use any category you wish once you get your new title. (And, as always, ask if you are confused!)
As always, Commissions are not open to first-time authors-- please have at least a couple quizzes already online before joining this (it's not the easiest venture), just to show you know the basics. In addition, you may not sign up if you currently have a title from any previous Commission unless you finish it before this one launches this week. This includes most recommissioned titles as the bulk of those are also long-waiting at this point. Please contact me directly if you do not meet this criteria and you are still interested.
The deadline for sign-ups is Sunday (January 17) at 12pm FST. Titles will not be accepted after that point; you will receive your new ones shortly afterwards.
If you send a title you will receive a note from me when I'm able to add you to the master list. Have no fear! I get to all messages! Sometimes I'm not able to add to my records (like at work).
