I think "We've only just begun" by the Carpenters is a nice wedding song & also "Amazed" by Lonestar". The words to both of those songs are lovely. "Every breath you take" sounds a bit like a "stalker" song to me. Reply #4. Feb 08 10, 11:35 AM |

Nearly decided on "Achy Breaky Heart" by Miley's Dad. My wife nixed that idea. Reply #12. Feb 09 10, 12:08 PM |

Years ago (14ish) when my hubby to be and I were dicussing songs for the wedding, he made an off handed remark that our song should be "Another One Bites The Dust" by Queen. So I secretly had our sound guy cue the song to play exactly that as we headed back down the aisle after the vows. The look on his face was priceless! To this day people still remember "our song". I'm a marriage commissioner so I hear a lot of wedding songs - some truly lovely, and some that make me think "What were they thinking?" When my husband and I were married we did our first dance to Nat King Cole's 'Unforgettable', and our younger son and his wife chose the same song/singer for their first dance. I embarrassed myself at one wedding by weeping when the bride and groom danced to Billy Joel's 'Just the Way Tou Are', which had been 'our song' for me and my husband. He had died just a couple of weeks before I presided at that wedding. One couple chose Beatles songs for their wedding music. The bride came down the aisle to 'Something in the Way She Moves' and the newly married couple went down the aisle to 'When I'm Sixty-Four'. Reply #19. Mar 03 10, 12:05 AM |

"Something" is a beautiful song, but "When I'm Sixty-Four"? How strange. Still, at least they didn't chose "Help!" Reply #20. Mar 03 10, 2:34 AM |
