If you were stranded on a desert island and you could only have the music of one musician, which would you choose?
I'm torn between two guitarists, Eric Clapton and Gary Moore, and two keyboard players, Keith Emerson and Rick Wakeman.

I would pick the Stones if we were talking bands and I'm tempted to pick Keith Richards because I love most of his solo stuff but there's just not that much of it. So, I'll say Tom Waits.

Did JSB actually record anything? I don't think so. :)

I'll amend my original question to a recorded musician, not a composer.

Bob Dylan.

Huge repertoire and I don't think he'd be interested in small talk. Suits me fine.

But Bach is a 'recorded' musician/composer... Probably one of the largest catalogues available. You didn't specify that the person had to be kicking and breathing just that their music was to accompany you :)

I too would be perfectly happy with the music of JSB.

Alternatively, if I were lucky enough to be stranded with SisterSeagull, I would choose Jan Sibelius, and perhaps we could share?

I enjoy the variety of Ian Anderson's musical style.
