"Bohemian Rhapsody" has now been stuck in my head going on to its second year. The surprising thing is that I still quite like the damn song! Reply #2101. Aug 07 16, 12:07 AM |

What a strange co-incidence! The above song has just popped up in the news because the author has won a a court case about it. Apparently she gave it to a friend who sold it to UB40 claiming it was his own and she's now won rights to it. Reply #2106. Dec 13 16, 8:51 AM |

Honeybee, that song reminds me of my time as a student in Liverpool in the 70s. I used to dance to it a lot. Reply #2114. Jan 14 17, 1:38 PM |

I had this song stuck on my brain. It's from the 1960s but it's taken me a while to find the title and the song ("Kites"by Simon Dupree and the Big Sound). They regarded themselves as a blues band and were disappointed that this, their only real chart hit (no 9 in the U.K only) was not representative of them. At one time Elton John stood in for one of them but they didn't play any of his songs and thought it funny when he said he was going to change his name to Elton John. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5MdbmY-djLg Reply #2115. This is stuck on my brain at the moment. It's a 15th century song about Agincourt sung beautifully by June Tabor and Maddy Prior - excuse the nationalism - those were the times.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UK16e-Emrms Reply #2116. Jan 22 17, 2:52 AM |

I also used to watch a programme with Sean Bean in the lead, called "Sharpe" and this was the memorable signature tune https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WOeYPpOblAw "Over the Hills and Far Away" by John Tams who also had a part in the show. Reply #2117. Jan 22 17, 3:00 AM |
