Goodness, so it is. That's interesting! If you look at the Hobbies board, half the threads are foody ones. But if favourite sandwich is here, I shall get my coat! Not before I've nominated chicken soup, though. Reply #5. Nov 19 08, 9:16 AM |

You see, my thoughts were that “comfort food” gives us that immediate satisfaction and sense of well being. It supports us through low times and gives a lift, even though we know it’s bad for us. Could be a Humanistic approach. Bring on the End Dolphins or something like that. Paul Reply #6. Nov 19 08, 10:53 AM |

Crispy bacon chopped into little pieces, over mashed potato, with Heinz tomato soup (it HAS to be Heinz) heated with chopped garlic and lemon juice, poured over the top, in 'my' special blue and white dish :-D There are times when nothing else will do. Reply #7. Nov 19 08, 3:38 PM |

It has to be Heinz tomato soup when you're dipping buttered white bread into it, so all the steaming soup soaks into the bread and turns it red, and the butter melts and runs off. That's if it's not chicken soup. :) Reply #8. Nov 19 08, 3:45 PM |

Easily cereal, I used to eat a few bowls on average, and when I put on weight got it down to one or two. I'm sure many are as nutritious as the box but hasn't yet put me off. Yes it should be in hobbies (don't ask me why) but I think too many replies and not intrusive enough to move it now. Reply #9. Nov 19 08, 7:24 PM |

Have to agree with the chocolate, although preferably hot chocolate or choc ice cream. Or cookie dough ice cream, heh. Chicken marinated with curry powder, parsley and creme fraiche & baguette slices. Just a recipe I'm very fond of. Or if it gets really bad some french fries/chips or chips/crisps. Reply #12. Orange slice candy. My grandma and me used to go through a huge bag, sometimes putting them in the freezer so that 1 would last longer and we wouldn't go through them so fast. Reply #13. Nov 30 08, 12:25 PM |

Penut butter mixed with waffel syrup and mixed with hot out of the oven corn bread . It is making my mouth water right now. Maybe 1000 calories for a cup full. Reply #19. Feb 08 09, 2:13 PM |
