There are a lot of decent punk-pop bands ie not the thrash types such as GBH , Discharge , Exploited etc. If you want pop punk - Buzzcocks , Lurkers , Boys , Ramones to name a few ....found many Belgian and French pop- punk bands of late well worth a listen .
