I guess I got a guilty pleasure from listening to both of these bands when I heard it playing from my older sister's room when she had her friends over. These were probably my favorites: Journey - "Feeling That Way/Anytime" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_OOUY1Z_XOQ Chicago - "Feelin' Stronger Every Day" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4PvN7ujfj2w Reply #22. Both are pretty good. They rank about the same in my book. Reply #23. Feb 25 14, 12:53 PM |

Why, why, why do people even bother posting things if they don't even like what the topic discusses? Do they have nothing better to do with their time? I enjoy both very much. We did a Chicago show in marching band one year and it was well-received. But I think I like Journey more. Reply #25. Apr 03 14, 7:18 AM |

It should be Kansas or Journey. I think those two bands are more comparable. Reply #26. Apr 03 14, 9:21 AM |

Neither really...More into Kansas or Blue Oyster Cult- Both have music a little to sedated. I want to listen to easier listening music I will go with Adult Contemporary over Soft Pop. Reply #27. May 26 15, 6:20 PM |

Have to go with Chicago, as well. I like the use of horns in their music. Reply #31. Sep 28 15, 3:53 PM |

Chicago as well for me. Journey is more of a women's band. I rather liked the Roy Thomas Baker-produced stuff Journey did before they became hitmakers, but their subsequent recordings didn't do a whole lot for me. Chicago had some hit records that I thought were very good, including "Dialogue" and "Wishing You Were Here". Both of the bands became less interesting as their careers went on. The pressure of putting out radio friendly songs hurt both of them, viewed from a critic's eye. Reply #32. Sep 28 15, 4:43 PM |
