Anybody have any movies about musicians or bands that they really like? Or even just movies about music itself? I hated "The Doors" but I'm wondering how long it'll be before a movie is made about the Stones. Hopefully it won't be made by Oliver Stone. Maybe when they're dead.

Did anyone see the movie about a hypothetical reunion between Lennon and McCartney called "Two of Us"? It was much better than I expected, especially the ending. Very well done.

SPINAL TAP! I've seen it a brazillion times and can watch it a brazillion more. So close to the "Real" life of an 80s metal band. Another favorite is "Still Crazy". The story of an "Almost" 70s band that reunites for a "Comeback" tour of the UK and all the trials and tribulations that real life reunion bands have to endure. "Rock Star" is also on my list of "Music" films that I can watch repeatedly. It's a, somewhat true, story of the lead singer of a "Tribute" band who gets the opportunity to be the frontman for the very band he's been idolizing his whole life.

"This is Spinal Tap" is a hilarious mockumentary. The music is pretty awesome too.

I watched a film on tv a while back called "In his life" all about John Lennon in the early days, really enjoyed it.

Backbeat was another one all about the Beatles in the early days too.

How about the Rutles? They are a parody of the Beatles. I've seen "All You Need Is Cash" and "Rutles 2: Can't Buy Me Lunch." I thought both were very funny.

Amazing movie and after a while you forget you are watching an actor (Jamie Foxx) and think you are actually watching Ray Charles.
