Subject: Does Pineapple Belong on a Pizza?

What's your perspective? Pineapple and pizza?

Considering a beer that tastes like pizza exists, the sky's the limit.

A pizza that tastes like beer? Ew!

Pizza and beer will have a similar taste in that both contain yeast. That's why they taste good together too.

My favourite pizza is ham and pineapple but no one else in my family likes pineapple on pizza.

I don't think pineapple belongs on pizza, but that's just my opinion. I like anchovies on pizza, also in a spaghetti sauce that includes black olives. Generally, I have obeyed the rules all my life, but in elementary school, I hated black olives so much, I hid them in my napkin and flushed them down the toilet. We had to eat everything, like it or not. Tastes change.

No!

But I have cousins that love the oddly named (to me) Hawaiian pizza.

Mix, pineapple and ham...yum! One advantage to others not liking pineapple pizza is you don't have to share...unless you want to.

I have ever had anchovies. I've heard they are salty.

Love black olives...even by themselves. One per finger to make them last (when I was a child). Now they disappear!

YUM!

Pineapple on pizza is a double yuk to me! But I really don't like anything sweet at a meal except dessert---no sweet sauces, salad dressings, etc.

I agree, like ham, but not on pizza.

Anchovies are very salty, but also crunchy, from their bones. Disgusting to many,I hear. Grew up on a farm, so it doesn't bother me.

I like pineapple on pizza. Preferably with Canadian bacon but it's not bad by itself with just cheese.

Pizza should be topped with cheese.
And more cheese.
The end.

:-D

The anchovies we get from our fish shop are not crunchy. I don't know how they prepare them. My husband loves them but I don't care for anything that salty now. It can give me an acid stomach. I was listening to a food programme the other day where an Italian woman asked people to try various types of olives including olives without salt, oil or vinegar. Apparently they taste rather fruity by themselves but the most popular selling ones are the salted ones that we are used to.

I enjoy veggie pizza only, no fruit!

Why not pineapple on pizza. You have BBQ Chicken, Broccoli, Spinach and what else on pizza. If you are going to eat it, than whatever floats your boat.

It's a matter of choice and taste. Personally I prefer the ham and pineapple without the Pizza. Nothing nicer than a ham steak topped with a slice of pineapple.....LOL

I love to bake a ham with rings of pineapple all over it.
