I love pineapple on pizza! I do not, however, like to have my posts removed, and since one has already been removed in here, posting again is iffy. But, I do love my Hawaiian Pizza! Chicken Garlic With Bacon is my favorite, though. "Hey! Teachers! Leave Them Kids Alone!" Reply #42. Aug 31 19, 8:52 AM |

I find that pineapple really doesn't belong on a pizza. First, I think it is the only recognized topping that is sweet to taste and pizza is not sweet. Second, the texture after coming out of oven is lumpy and squishy which to me at least throws everything off. Having said that I can eat it on pizza and that's fine but I think it is a waste of a topping. Reply #44. Apr 10 20, 10:41 PM |

No! I love pineapple, ditto ham, but they absolutely do not belong on pizza. I'll eat most kinds of pizza, except anchovy, which I will not eat under any conditions. But to me the ideal pizza has extra cheese and extra pepperoni, with bacon baked into the crust. Heaven! Reply #49. Oct 13 20, 9:17 PM |

I am (for some weird reason) the only person in all of the people I've ever heard of that likes Hawaiian pizza (pizza with pineapples on top) and I hate pineapples any other way Reply #51. Feb 08 21, 11:06 AM |

I'll accept that pineapples belong on pizza when I hear that a commercial pineapple plantation has been established in Italy. It's a bit like saying that Gorgonzola cheese, or salami, or olives belong at a Hawaiian l??au. Reply #52. Jul 21 21, 8:00 AM |

Mixamatosis, Hawaiian Pizza was not created in Hawaii, but in Canada! I hasten to add that this came about in Toronto, where, one suspects, the common belief that the city is the centre of the universe and the need to be ahead of the pack in all things allows such abominations as pineapple on pizza to happen. A few years ago, when my granddaughter was just two, I was making French bread pizzas for the family for lunch. Some were to be ham and pineapple and the rest ham and sweetcorn. My granddaughter was watching the proceedings. "I don't like pinecones, Granny." "That's all right - you can have sweetcorn." She trotted off to see Mummy. "Do you like sweetcorn, Mummy?" Then came back to tell me that her Mummy liked sweetcorn not pinecones. The same thing happened round the rest of the family. She was so convinced that nobody could possibly like pinecones if she didn't, that it never occurred to her to ask that question. I carried on making half with sweetcorn and the rest with pineapple, and they were all eaten. Reply #54. Jul 18 23, 12:58 PM |
