"All This Time" -- Sting "Shine A Light" -- Rolling Stones Both are live concert albums/CDs and DVDs. "All This Time" is breathtaking and heartbreaking. "Shine A Light" is hilarious. Martin Scorsese directed it, so it's more like a documentary/rockumentary, and from the pre-concert footage of him trying to get a set list, with Mick telling him, "Set list? We don't know what we're going to play five minutes before we go on stage!" to him racing around, trying to capture and keep up with Mick, who swears he loses something like 10 to 20 pounds after every concert, the entire thing is both manic and brilliant. Nights From The Alhambra by Loreena McKennitt is right up there. Standout track, possibly Huron 'Beltane' Fire Dance. Superb musicianship on all the tracks. Thoroughly recommended if you're fond of World Music and old English folk songs and English Literature and that kind of stuff. One downside: Too many of the songs have truncated lyrics, Lady Of Shallot and Bonny Swans especially. And The Highwayman isn't featured. Still a great album though. Reply #6. Jun 13 18, 12:43 PM |

Amazing! I've been listening to UFO on and off for about two weeks now, the Live In Tokyo recordings. Love To Love and Rock Bottom especially. Reply #8. Jun 13 18, 3:56 PM |
