Subject: Let's write a book...with a twist

A little clue in the title there. Shall we write a story using as many music related terms as we can, including band names and song titles? Use capital letters for the relevant words....

I got out of bed this morning, realising I was in Dire Straits. The Cars usually parked in the driveway had recently been stolen and The Police had told me the young thieves, if caught, would probably get away with little more than a Rap on the knuckles. A New Wave of crime had just begun and I had More Than A Feeling that it would only get worse unless these Punks were properly dealt with.

Okay people, it's your Turn, Turn, Turn .

"Hey Ruby. Hurry up and get here Girl. I can only take Mother in Bits And Pieces. I think she's just about to pull out all the old photos again. Move It Ruby. She does this all the Time. Can you come over right now? I stayed the night, I think Mother thinks it means I live with her again", Lily The Pink texted on her Mobile phone. There was an almost instant response from Ruby.

"Can't come over right now. I tried to strangle Taylor Swift and The Police are looking for me. I'm hiding Somewhere. I'll call you soon. Say hi to your Mother. Ask her if she still has that Photograph of the Two Of Us posing with our Free gift vouchers from that clothes boutique after we ratted on Taylor for shoplifting. I'll never forget The Look on her face and her shouting, "Hey you guys, you told me to do it for a dare. Help me out here!", as the security guy detained her. Wouldn't mind seeing that Photograph again. Sorry but I gotta go!"

Lily replied

"Okay. Perfectly understandable. I bet she thinks she's THE Taylor Swift. Call when you can. Hang in there."

Monday Monday, Eminem but mainly eminent animal psychologist, was in the games room, and was not totally surprised to find Pavlov's Dog had gone. Or, to his way of thinking, wasn't there. It was the last place he expected to find a dog. Clever Animals though they were, dogs didnt play video games, he was 100% sure of that. Doctor Robert, he thought, was for want of a better expression, completely and totally Radio Ga Ga.

"All The Way from Funkytown to Rockaway Beach just to please a Maniac veterinarian," he said to a mouse called Mickey who just happened to be passing by. Mickey twitched his little nose and Monday Monday was hoping beyond hope it was a twitch signifying agreement with his views about Doctor Robert.

Naturally, Monday Monday was unaware that Pavlov's Dog had just left the games room in a fit of pique and was now called The King, just as he was unaware there was a hamster nestling in his Hair and that his daughter Ruby Tuesday was trying to Escape The Police. He was however aware of The One Thing he could not possibly not be aware of now, Something he had only just noticed. Two cats were sitting on beanbags, one Strumming a Guitar, the other Singing quietly along with the Tune, in a Voice much more mellifluous than any cat had a right to possess:

"One day, you know you're bound to leave her, but for now you're gonna stay... in The Year Of The Cat.......Man, don't you just love Al Stewart?"

"Yeah man, but I gotta tell ya, this guitar's damn hard to play with cat paws."

Monday Monday, Dazed And Confused and completely flummoxed, could do no More than scratch the top of his head in disbelief at what he'd just seen and heard.

"Hey, stop scratching me!!", said the hamster.
