Here’s a quick list from me (okay… upon inspection maybe not so “brief”):
World Gone Mad by Bastille
All My Friends by The Revivalists
Burn the House Down by AJR
I Feel Like I’m Drowning by Two Feet
Lash Out by Alice Merton
Celebrate by Dirty Heads
You Worry Me by Nathaniel Ratliff & The Night Sweats
Saturday Sun by Vance Joy
Everybody’s Lonely by Jukebox the Ghost
Sorry by Nothing But Thieves
The Night We Met by Lord Huron
Go To War by Nothing More
-And of course, anything by these artists, who delivered new albums in 2018:
Shinedown (ATTENTION ATTENTION)
Bishop Briggs (Church of Scars)
Florence + the Machine (High As Hope)
Muse (Simulation Theory)
Lily Allen (No Shame)
Meg Myers (Take Me to the Disco)

There are too many songs to select from those CDs, but I tried to narrow them down for my favorites of 2018 from those albums:
Darkside by Shinedown
Family Man by Lily Allen
Something Human by Muse
Tear Me to Pieces by Meg Myers
Jealous Sea by Meg Myers

and finally, this song was released in 2017 I believe, but was ~officially~ given to the world in 2018… my song of the year:
Dream by Bishop Briggs

I have six and two of those are a remix and a remake from previous years, apart from the numerous remastered releases there's only been a couple of new albums i've took a shine to,afraid i've been stuck in the past this year.

Algorithm - Muse
Apples - Lily Allen
Don't Stop Me Now (Revisited) - Queen
Fast Slow Disco - St.Vincent
5 More Days 'Til Summer - Lenny Kravitz
Shotgun - George Ezra

My favorite is "I Don't Know" by Paul McCartney. Sir Paul proved that he still knows how to write catchy pop songs with his album, Egypt Station, that was released this year.
