Oof. So many are so underrated and undervalued, it's a crime. A handful of ones I believe fit: Bishop Briggs Darren Hayes Matthew Bellamy Sam Cook BANKS Meg Myers Lauri Ylönen Reply #4. Jan 04 19, 3:21 PM |

Who in the world has ever heard of Pat Travers? Look him up and check out how many albums this guy has put out. Reply #5. Jan 07 19, 5:21 AM |

I have heard of him but not heard any of the people in the post above yours Kev. Steven Stills is a most under rated guitarist and msician. Reply #6. Jan 14 19, 3:51 PM |

What about Stagedork? I have seen a lot of concerts in my life, but I have never seen anything like a Stagedork concert. Granted, their music isn't very good at all and they hardly sell any records, but they sell out the concert venues everywhere they ever go. Why is that? It's because of the kind of shows they do. I mean, as far as strutting around the stage like proud peacocks, they make Mick Jagger look like Leon Redbone. They strut around like they are just so tough and cool, buy they trip and fall over and into everything on the stage, constantly breaking and smashing all kinds of equipment, including the instruments that they are playing. Nobody really knows if they are doing it on purpose or if they are all really that accident prone, but everyone in the crowd is rolling around in tears before they are all done destroying everything around them. Actually, I have just been clowning around about all that. Stagedork is just something I thought up a long time ago. :-p Reply #7. Jan 14 19, 10:13 PM |

Hey, Rubytops, check out the third page of these Music Chat threads. About 3/4 of the way to the bottom there is a thread called "Best Concert Ever??" Check out the last post made on that thread. It was made by a wild and crazy cat called metalmad, which happens to be me. I had just discovered this website a couple of weeks before that post, then a couple of weeks after that post was when I went gold. When I did, I messed up really badly and couldn't get back on the website because I wasn't clicking the right stuff, so I panicked and changed my username because I didn't know what else to do. Anyway, I have been clowning around all over the place for two years now, and I still think that post I made is one of the funniest I have ever made. Funny enough to shut down the thread! :-p Anyway, check it out sometime when you are all nice and relaxed and ready to have a laugh. :-) Reply #8. Jan 14 19, 10:41 PM |

Really, Rubytops, please do make sure you are all nice and relaxed and worry-free when you check that post out. Making people laugh with the stuff I say is the easiest thing in the world for me, but making them laugh with the stuff I write is often a totally different story for some strange reason. I need all the help I can get in that department, and honestly, writing is probably my greatest talent when I set my mind to it and get serious about it. Go figure! Please carry on, everyone, I'm done now! :-) Reply #9. Jan 14 19, 11:39 PM |

Resuuuurrrreeeeectiooooon…… Have you ever heard the death-dealing Resurrection from Halford? That's the title track to Rob Halford's solo debut, and it's darker and heavier than anything Priest ever did. Anyway, that's what always comes to mind whenever someone resurrects a long-forgotten thread like that. I freaked when I saw that sitting there on the first page! I knew instantly that someone must have come along and read my post to rubytops. I thought for sure that no one was ever going to post on that thing again! Maybe it will pick up again thanks to you, Jo. Anyway, you should check out that Halford tune sometime, but it is seriously deadly, make no mistake about it. A lot of his solo stuff is like that. I'd post a link but Rob says naughty words in it and I guess I would probably get a spanking. :-( You might have to type in "studio version" or something, if you just enter"Halford Resurrection" it will bring up a live version of it that I still have not seen yet and need to check out. I haven't gotten to it yet but I have been wanting to check out that Disturbed tune that you wrote down the lyrics to on the Lyrics thread. Sounds pretty explosively violent, the way music should be. :-) No,I'm only joking around about that. Everything has it's own special place somewhere, just like people. Anyway, the photos on the sleeve inside that Resurrection CD is where I got my avatar photo. You and the Viking need to include that thing in your tune collection just because of the bike photos alone. Rob's even in the wind on the cover of the CD itself. Live to ride, man! :-) Reply #11. Steven Wilson's nick name is the greatest artist you have never heard of. Really unfortunate as he is phenomenal especially live. Very creative. Check him out on YouTube. Reply #12. Jan 23 19, 12:52 PM |

So many are under valued. I agree about Levi Stubs, his voice is amazing. Etta James Brandy Minnie Ripperton Sam Cook I also actually think Elvis' voice was under rated, he is seen as a performer first and singer second but listen to 'Peace in the Valley' or 'If I can dream' Noddy Holder, best heavy rock voice ever! Beres Hammond Glen Washington Slim Smith Reply #13. Mar 26 19, 3:45 AM |
