Alrighty-- even if they don't make it online in 2023, let the record show I queued 250 quizzes in 2023. :D Reply #21. Dec 29 23, 8:30 PM |

Wow, what a number! I finally queued my first crossword, so that's a goal for me! ;) Reply #22. Dec 29 23, 8:54 PM |

Getting an Editor's Choice, 31 quizzes online, and completing four commissions were pretty big achievements for me. Thanks to all the editors for their encouragement and help! Reply #23. Dec 30 23, 8:31 PM |

This year that is about to end was my most prolific to date, with 81 quizzes placed online. Unfortunately, I was unable to complete my 82nd due to a bit of burnout and some personal issues. I am also happy to report that my quizzes got quite a lot of plays, and seemed to be overall well received. The icing on the cake, however, was being able to get all 12 framed paintings - and 7 Editor's Choices didn't hurt either. Thanks to everyone! Reply #24. Dec 31 23, 1:56 AM |

I've crossed the line of 400 quizzes on line - about half way of the ultimate goal I've st myself for after my retirement (Level 7 of the Polymath, including thus at least 40 quizzes in each category). Thanks to QuiWriMo, I enjoyed writing my first label quiz - so there are more to come. But for next year, my aim will not be extraordinary - it looks as if real life will be quite hectic. Reply #25. I got some quizzes online in 23. It had been a long time, I had totally "lost my mojo" and a fair few previous attempts had fallen by the wayside, so it was good to finally get going again. I did a couple in the new formats too. This year, I want to make it out of that blooming maze on the Adventures in Authoring quest thing! I've been wandering around in there for literally years... I've just submitted my template for "Adventures", ten years after arriving at my current location :) Reply #27. Jan 01 24, 5:22 AM |

In 2023 I participated in Quiwrimo for the first time and met my goal of getting ten quizzes online for the month. Also contributed four quizzes to the 2023 limited badge community challenge. Wrote my first ordering, Fun Fill-It, photo match and collection format quizzes. Collected eleven of the twelve paintings (the December quiz is still in progress). Lots to do this year! Want to get Polymath to level 2, which means rounding out all twenty of the category rainbows. It should be possible to get Celebrities, Entertainment, History, People, TV, Video Games and World to tear 1...theoretically., though practice is something else again. I need to clear out my two remaining adoptees and revise those of my old quizzes that are eligible. Also need to return to and finish Adventures in Authoring, in the course of which other things will probably get finished too. I have a great many ideas waiting to be dealt with - a great many more than on my FT in progress list! - with more occurring to me every day. And all this is just writing. I also want to carry on with the Morphing Scavenger and Fool Me Once. Reply #28. Jan 06 24, 7:16 PM |

Correction: I have December's painting. Now working towards the frame. Also, I hope to finish the Four Across challenge sooner rather than later. Reply #29. Jan 07 24, 7:21 PM |

The new quiz writing badges are great. My thanks to those who came up with the ideas. It'll be a while before I can get to any of them but it's given me lots of ideas to work with. Reply #30. Feb 10 24, 7:32 PM |

They were ideas that've been rolling around internally for a while and I'm very excited to dig into them. Kudos to Wes for them! Reply #31. Feb 10 24, 10:24 PM |

The Castle/Home pair will be driving my writing for some time! My February frame title had its format and category determined by the only category for which a single quiz would complete the template types. Now I have progressed to using one of the relevant subcategories and an unused template type as I move on through the categories. I suspect I am going to have to spend some serious time upgrading my image-manipulation skills before I get through. Reply #32. Feb 10 24, 10:51 PM |

The Castle/Home pair will be pushing me in certain directions too. Luckily, I already had a plan for the only quiz type missing in one category and the painting challenge quiz also served dual purpose. I doubt that will happen often, though. Reply #33. Feb 11 24, 2:29 AM |

The Castle/Home combo for me is a new paradigm in quiz writing. While I have embraced all the new formats I thought I might have covered all the formats in Music and Geo, the two categories I have written 50+ quizzes but I am three formats short in both. In fact, the closest I have come to completing all formats in one category is World where I am two short. Therefore I am a minimum of 8 quizzes short of even the first tier. Factor in the two quiz minimum monthly Art Challenge requirements and there is little of my FT allocated time to write any quizzes of 'free will'. My quiz-writing spreadsheet is already complex and doesn't need a new tab, it needs another dimension. Not complaining though, love all this new stuff thanks to the FT crew who facilitated same. February frame gave me a chance to complete one category in all formats. Two more categories only lack two formats, so they are next on my list. One will kill two birds, but I can't quickly see how to do that in the third category. Trying to decide whether to get the castle first (which seems more logical) or start furnishing it (which involves some slightly more exciting tasks). Reply #35. Feb 11 24, 12:00 PM |

I've gotten the first level of My Home is my Castle, but I can't achieve the other one until I am high enough level. I'm really happy with having more opportunities to earn prestige based on authoring, since that is where I spend 99% of my time on this site. Reply #36. Feb 11 24, 7:27 PM |

Can players who are not yet at a high enough level to get a badge see what it requires? The other badge requires you to use all 8 (?) template formats in a single category to count it as complete, and more categories completed for higher tiers. So you can always attack that goal in advance; then you can just get the badge, and maybe higher tiers, as soon as you do reach the necessary prestige level. Reply #37. Feb 11 24, 9:56 PM |

That's probably the case-- once you have the requisite rank you can pop in and get your criteria checked. Reply #38. Feb 11 24, 11:33 PM |

I haven't yet written a quiz, just single questions, so my goal for 2024 is to write at least one quiz, one crossword, and a few more single questions. I hope real life doesn't get too much in the way. :-) Reply #39. Feb 12 24, 1:36 AM |
