With 2020 now being history, we are looking forward to a hopefully brighter 2021. With the pandemic still raging, it didn't start out on the most auspicious note, but we are sure it will get better and everyone can do their part to make that come true, one small contribution at a time.
Along this vein, we have decided to build on the Gateway and have a limited edition themed authoring challenge every year. 2021's motto will be "Heal the World" - and you can take that any way you want. Know a song or movie that fits the theme? Write about it. Do you want to highlight a past or present person or movement working to make the world better in some way? Great! Do you know of an achievement that benefited humanity? Well, that would be worth a quiz.
The "Heal the World" badgelet will be managed and awarded through this thread in the Author Lounge - and once the year is over, it will add to your "retired challenge" count for the 2020 badge, so it'll be worth it!
