The Buccaneers lost 14 of 14 in their first season, and in the following year lost 12 games (making it 26 straight losses), before winning their last 2 games: at New Orleans Saints 33-14, and St Louis Cardinals 17-7. On January 26th, 2003 Tampa Bay's defense overwhelmed Oakland's vaunted offense in a 48-21 rout in Super Bowl XXXVII. The Bucs returned three of five interceptions for touchdowns to make a champion out of first-year coach Jon Gruden (ex-Raiders!) and give the franchise its first NFL title.
