Wall Street. Michael, as Gordon Gekko, was a ruthless Wall Street broker who took the young and naive Bud Fox (Charlie Sheen) under his wing. In his speech to the stockholders of Teldar Paper, Gekko explained his philosophy about greed in a way that made it sound logical and even honourable, but in the end it was greed that brought both Gekko and Fox down. It was the role of Gekko that gave Michael his Oscar as Best Actor.
