The two had fueded for a few months and with Badd being a former amateur boxer, they decided on a boxing match to settle their fued. Although he didn't fare well in the first two rounds, Raven (with the help of his corner-men Dallas Page and Vinnie Vegas) took the win in the third round after his glove was illegally filled with water and he landed a knock-out punch.

Which three wrestlers did Raven manage during this stint in the WWF? | Raven : Part 1
|
The Quebecers and Adam Bomb. Raven (Johnny Polo) made his official debut mid-match during a bout between the Quebecers and the Steiner Brothers and helped the Quebecers take the tag team belts. He quickly added on Adam Bomb, but only kept him briefly before turning him over to Harvey Whippleman. He continued to manage the Quebecers until he left the WWF in the Summer of 1994.
'All-American Wrestling'. Raven (Johnny Polo) co-hosted 'All-American Wrestling' with Gorilla Monsoon from late 1993 until his departure in the Summer of 1994.
January 7, 1995. Stevie Richards, who would become Raven's loyal flunky for about the next 2 years, had been fueding with Tommy Dreamer and told ECW commentator Joey Styles he would be bringing in Johnny Polo to assist him. Stevie began wrestling under the names 'Stevie the Body', 'Stevie Flamingo' and 'Stevie Polo' as a lead-up to Polo's appearance. Finally on January 7, 1995, during an interview with Styles, Stevie announced that indeed Polo was not there. Instead, he announced, that he had someone better, and announced the 'birth' of Raven, who came to the ring debuting the character that has stayed with him ever since. Minutes later, he helped Stevie defeat Hack Myers by kicking Hack after loading his boot with a foreign object behind the referee's back.
They didn't get along in summer camp. According to the storyline, back when both were 12 they attended the very same summer camp. The two did not get along as Tommy picked on a fat girl named Beulah that Raven stood up for, leading to fights. Only years later would they meet again, in ECW. Of course, being that Raven is 9 years older than Dreamer, the story had it's flaws, but it served it's purpose and started one of the most memorable feuds in ECW history.
At which ECW show did Raven's girlfriend, Beulah McGillicutty, debut? | Raven : Part 1
|
'Three Way Dance' 1995. On April 8, 1995, after Stevie Richards had acquired the Pitbulls for Raven and had them defeat the previous tandem that had been in Raven's Nest, Tony Stetson and Johnny Hotbody, Stevie told Raven that he had an even bigger surprise for him. He had found the girl from the summer camp that had caused all the problems between Raven and Tommy Dreamer. Raven was rather annoyed at Stevie for doing so, but then after Beulah came to the ring, no longer fat by any means, Raven quickly forgave Stevie for his troubles, as Beulah became his valet and girlfriend.
Which wrestler turned on Tommy Dreamer to join Raven's Nest in the August of 1995? | Raven : Part 1
|
Cactus Jack. Before an 8 man tag match pitting Raven, Stevie Richards, Dudley Dudley and Big Dick Dudley against Tommy Dreamer, Cactus Jack, and the Pitbulls, Raven stopped to grab the mic and told Cactus (who had been a strong ally of Dreamer's for months) that 'he felt his pain'. For the rest of the bout, whenever Raven came face to face with Cactus in the match, Cactus backed down to him, although he willingly beat up on all of Raven's henchmen during the bout. Finally when a brawl broke out at the close of the match, Tommy went to DDT Raven, but instead got blind-sided by Cactus, leading to a pin by Raven over Tommy. Cactus then left the ring with Raven and became Raven's top ally within the Nest until leaving for the WWF in March 1996.
What song was Raven's entrance theme during his ECW days? | Raven : Part 1
|
Offspring - 'Come Out and Play'. The Offspring's 'Come Out and Play' was the song that acted as Raven's entrance music during both of his stays in ECW.
'House Party' 1996. During House Party, January 4, 1996, Joey Styles conducted an interview with Stevie Richards, the Blue Meanie and Beulah. Stevie stated that because he had gotten a kiss from Missy Hyatt a week earlier, and because Raven had been out of town partying over the holidays leaving Beulah behind, he should get a kiss from Beulah. When she refused a couple times, Stevie asked why she wouldn't kiss him and she replied 'I'm pregnant!'. Raven quickly came to the ring and asked how this could of happened. After a pause she added, 'Why do you care, it's not yours!' Raven, shocked, turned to Stevie and decked him with a punch before working him over. Beulah then added that 'it isn't his either'. Raven let up on Stevie and got in Beulah's face as she said 'it's Tommy's!'. This led to Dreamer hitting the ring and getting into a brawl with Raven that Dreamer won after piledriving Raven on a stop sign that he got from the crowd. Two months later it was revealed that Beulah was never pregnant and was being used by Shane Douglas to take advantage of Dreamer in order to get title shots from him. Despite this, Dreamer forgave Beulah and they stayed together until she left wrestling in the Summer of 1998.
The ex-wife of which wrestler became Raven's valet at 'Hardcore Heaven 1996'? | Raven : Part 1
|
The Sandman. On June 22, 1996, at 'Hardcore Heaven', having previously told Stevie Richards to find him a new valet, Stevie brought to Raven the Sandman's ex-wife, Lori. The Sandman didn't seem very phased at the announcement, having had this happen to him two years previous when his then arch-enemy Tommy Cairo had enlisted Lori as his manager against the Sandman. However, later in the evening after Raven defeated Terry Gordy, the Sandman came to the ring to attack Raven, but was soon distracted by Lori returning to the ring...with their seven year-old son Tyler in tow. Raven yelled at Sandman, telling him to cane him (while standing behind Lori and Tyler) before letting Tyler add in 'Daddy you're a drunk. I worship Raven now!' Sandman broke down and could not bring himself to attack Raven at that point. Although they had feuded for a while, this intensified the Raven-Sandman feud and made it another memorable ECW feud for Raven. In February of 1997, Raven and Lori had a falling out and she returned, with Tyler, to the Sandman.
Which type of match did Raven win his second ECW Heavyweight title in? | Raven : Part 1
|
Barbed-Wire match. On December 7, 1996, Raven defeated the Sandman in a barbed-wire bout to win his second (and last) ECW Heavyweight title.
What match on the February 24, 1997 episode of 'Raw is War' did Raven come ringside to watch? | Raven : Part 1
|
Stevie Richards vs. Little Guido. During the February 24, 1997 episode of 'Raw is War', Paul Heyman brought a number of ECW superstars to the Manhattan Center and held a few matches of his own. During the first of these matches, Stevie Richards, wrestling as 'Big Stevie Cool' of the Blue World Order, vs. Little Guido, Raven came to the ring to watch on. Stevie had recently left the Nest and Raven was none to happy about it. Raven, making his first apperance in the WWF as Raven, and overall his first since 1994, held his arms out in a crucifix position as Stevie came near him on the floor. Stevie won the match and Raven left ringside, not to be seen in the WWF for another 3 and a half years.
At which ECW card did Raven suffer his first ever loss to Tommy Dreamer? | Raven : Part 2
|
'WrestlePalooza' 1997. Although the two had feuded for most of the past 2 and a half years, Tommy Dreamer had never actually scored a victory over Raven. Days before 'WrestlePalooza', Raven signed a contract with WCW and was told by WCW that he could stick around ECW until 'Hardcore Heaven' 1997. Tommy Dreamer, however, wanted him gone sooner, so he proposed the loser-leaves-ECW bout, which Raven accepted. Thus on June 7, 1997, at 'WrestlePalooza', the match was held and Tommy Dreamer got his first win over Raven, sending Raven off to WCW sooner than he had expected to leave. More detail in this match can be found by taking my 'WrestlePalooza' 1997 quiz.
June 30, 1997. Less than a month after leaving ECW, Raven was spotted in the first row on an episode of 'Nitro' on June 30, 1997. Commentator Mike Tenay tried to find out why he was there, but got no answer. During the main event of the show with Diamond Dallas Page, the Giant, and Lex Luger vs. Randy Savage and the Outsiders, a number of people made run-ins, including Raven who jumped over the guardrail and got into a staredown with Scott Hall, but never got involved with the brawl. The following week, his former ECW lackey Stevie Richards joined him in WCW, as Raven began his latest group, the Flock.
At which 'Clash of the Champions' did Raven wrestle his 1st match back in WCW? | Raven : Part 2
|
'Clash of the Champions XXXV'. On August 21, 1997, after having 'negotiated' a contract for himself in WCW, Raven finally made his ring re-debut against his lackey, Stevie Richards, in a 'Raven's Rules' match. Raven defeated Richards with the DDT, after dominating most of the match. Stevie would only stay for a few more months until he departed back to ECW.
How many wrestlers (including Raven) were in Raven's Flock? | Raven : Part 2
|
11. Although not all of them were in the group at the same time, there were a total of 11 members of the Flock. They were Raven, Stevie Richards, Perry Saturn, Billy Kidman, Chris Kanyon (Mortis), Scotty Riggs, Horace, Sick Boy, Lodi, Van Hammer, and Reese.
Diamond Dallas Page. During an episode of 'MTV Live' on March 18, 1998, following interviews with the Foo Fighters and Matthew McConaughey, Carson Daly went on to talk with Dallas Page. During the interview, a monitor began to show Raven from backstage. He began to talk but the monitor went staticy on him, as DDP laughed. The static then went away as Raven said the following: 'How come there's no static for Matthew McWannabe? How come there's no static for the Foo Fighters? And how come there's no static for Diamond Dallas Page. You ripped me off of my US title and now I'm gonna rip you off. Quote the Raven nevermore!' Just as the image left the screen, Raven hit the scene and blind-sided DDP with a shot to the head with a stop sign. As Carson and the Foo Fighers moved out of the way in disbelief, Raven then DDT'd DDP through a nearby table. Raven then looked at the camera, pointed to the U.S. title and said 'Yeah, the US title. This should be mine, this should be mine right now. In fact, I think it will be (takes the title) Quote the Raven nevermore'. Raven then walked off camera with the belt in tow.
'Spring Stampede' 1998. Raven had feuded with Diamond Dallas Page and Chris Benoit since January 1998 and the feud escalated with Page after Raven jumped Page on an episode of 'MTV Live'. While Benoit moved onto a feud with Booker T, Raven and Page continued to fight over the U.S. title, leading to their match at Spring Stampede. On April 19, 1998, Raven, still bringing with him the U.S. title and with his Flock in ringside seats, met up with Page. Sickboy made an early attempt to take out Page that proved unsuccessful as Page and Raven soon brawled to the floor. The two began to fight near some of the 'Spring Stampede' props around the aisle, including a stagecoach that Raven tried to climb before being tossed from it into some bales of hay. Page, however, then climbed the stagecoach and dived down onto Raven. They continued to make use of more props before making their way back to the ring. They fought for another few minutes before Raven called on his Flock to begin to run interference. Billy Kidman, Van Hammer, Sickboy and Lodi all ran in, unsuccessfully, as Page fought them off one at a time, before Reese gave Raven the lead with a modified-Baldo Bomb onto Page. Raven could only get a 2 as Page took the advantage right back. Kidman ran at Page again and took a diamond cutter, however, distracting Page from seeing the debuting Horace nail him from behind with a Stop sign. With Page stunned, Raven DDT'd him onto a kitchen sink that had been brought into the ring and got a 3 count and the U.S. title for real seconds later at the matchtime of 11:51. The U.S. title would be the highest solo achievement Raven would hold in WCW. The next night, however, Raven lost the U.S. title to Goldberg on 'Nitro', making his reign stand at only one day.
Who attacked Raven following his cage match at Slamboree 1998? | Raven : Part 2
|
Mortis. With his feud with Dallas Page not yet settled, Raven challenged Page to a 'Bowery Cage Death Match'. Page accepted and thus the cage with weapons match was signed. Raven, who had been jumped by a mystery person a few times in the month leading to the PPV, had forced WCW Commissioner J.J. Dillon to give him a security team, and he brought them with him to the ring. Page and Raven made good use of the various weapons that were placed on the turnbuckles and other places in the cage, including a garbage can, bullrope and even a VCR. The two took turns working over the other, trying to knock each other out for a 10 count to win the bout. After 5 minutes of this, the ref got knocked out and Raven's Flock began to come ringside. Passing by Raven's guards, Reese, Scotty Riggs and Sickboy broke the lock to the cage, but before they could enter the ring, Van Hammer, who had been recently fired from the Flock, came out from under the ring and ambushed the 3 Flock members and left them laying before Raven's guards escorted him to the back. After returning, 2 of the guards entered the ring and un-masked, revealing themselves as Flock members Kidman and Horace who went right after Page. Page managed to fight them off, but was soon hit in the head with a fire extinguisher by Raven, who then hit Page with his own finisher, the Diamond Cutter. DDP managed to answer the count by the re-vived ref at 8. DDP and Raven brawled back and forth once more, until DDP caught Raven with a Diamond Cutter of his own, which was enough to leave Raven down for the 10 count, giving Page the win to the match and the feud. As Page left the cage to celebrate amongst the fans, the 3rd of Raven's guards began to handcuff the fallen Flock members to the guardrail before entering the ring and handcuffing Kidman and Horace to the cage. The guard then worked over Raven for a bit before handcuffing him to the cage as well. The masked guard then removed his mask to reveal...another mask. The mask of Mortis, the man whom the Flock had been tormenting for some time when not dealing with Page. Mortis then un-masked himself, revealing his face to the world as the wrestler known as Chris Kanyon. He then picked up a chair and blasted Raven over the head with it. Kanyon then left the cage and would go on to be Raven's next big feud over the summer months, after also admitting to being the mystery man who had been attacking Raven.
September 13, 1998. Having had a falling out with his former Flock teammate Perry Saturn a few months earlier, the two had begun a feud over what should be done with the rest of the Flock. Saturn wanted Raven to disband the Flock. Raven, of course, had no such interest in doing so. Finally at Fall Brawl 1998, September 13, a match was held between the two with the stipulation being that if Saturn won, the Flock would be dissolved and Raven would have to go it alone, and if Raven won, Saturn would have to re-join the Flock. Raven was accompained to the ring by Flock member Lodi and also Chris Kanyon, whom had joined up with Raven after a few months of feuding. Kanyon, however, was forced to be handcuffed to a ringside rope so that he could not interfere in the match. Saturn then came to the ring and he and Raven exchanged words. The bell rang and the match began. Raven took the early lead before Saturn came back with a number of suplexes, kicks and more to send Raven reeling to the floor. Saturn worked over Raven some more until Lodi distracted Saturn long enough to let Raven get a move in and take the lead. Raven tossed Saturn back in and worked Saturn over for a few minutes before Saturn came back with a lowblow. Saturn took over, even catching Raven with a drop toehold into a chair, one of Raven's usual holds done onto himself. Flock members Horace, Scotty Riggs, Sickboy and Kidman arrived soon thereafter at ringside with a table, but Kidman then darted off to the top rope where he stunned the Flock by nailing Raven with a flying dropkick. Raven then was caught in a Death Valley Driver by Saturn, but it only got a 2 count. Horace, Sickboy and Riggs, meanwhile, attempted to chase Kidman down and ran after him to the back. Saturn quickly went on the offensive, nailing Raven with a variety of manuevers, ending with a Michinoku Driver that only got 2. Saturn then applied the Rings of Saturn onto Raven. Raven wouldn't give it up and Saturn broke the hold after Lodi jumped on the apron for the distraction. Raven got up and grabbed a hold of Saturn, but got low-blowed, as Saturn also knocked Lodi down from the top rope where he had climbed. Saturn went back to work on Raven, but the ref wound up getting knocked out as Saturn got tossed into the corner. Kanyon, seeing the ref down in front of him, pickpocketed the key from the ref and uncuffed himself. Kanyon quickly entered the ring and nailed Saturn with his finisher, the Flatliner. He then placed Raven on top of Saturn before running back to the corner...and re-cuffing himself and waking up the ref. The ref could only make 2 before Saturn kicked out. Saturn then low-blowed Raven and knocked Lodi off the apron again, this time through the table brought to ringside earlier. He turned around into the Evenflow DDT by Raven, however, but only for 2. The 2 then fought for another minute before Saturn managed to catch Raven in a 2nd DVD for the 3 count as Kanyon vainly tried to run back in, only to, of course, find himself re-handcuffed and unable to unlock himself again in time to make the save. The Flock was set free by Saturn, and Raven would be without a group of flunkys from then on.
What was the name of Raven's sister who followed him to WCW? | Raven : Part 2
|
Chastity. Around the end of 1998, Raven had become more depressed than usual, due to the loss of his Flock, and his mother showed up at Nitro. She wanted him to come back home for a while, and he reluctantly agreed. Once back home, the cameras quickly caught up with the rest of his family, including his 'sister', played by one of his former valets, Chastity. A week later, Raven's 'friend' Jim turned up as a visitor to the house. Jim, formerly the Sandman, would soon be written right out of this storyline and start wrestling in WCW as Hak. Chastity followed Raven back to the ring in early 1999 as well, before turning on him at 'Uncensored' 1999 to join up with Hak.
The Deadpool. Having suffered some injuries in the May of 1999, during a short tag title reign, with, of all people, Perry Saturn, Raven returned to action on July 19, 1999 during a Konnan vs. Vampiro bout. Raven and the Insane Clown Posse interfered on behalf of Vampiro, drawing in Konnan's allies to support him. Raven, Vampiro and the Clowns soon became the Deadpool. Raven, however, would only be in the group for a little more than a month before accepting his release out of WCW.
Tommy Dreamer. On August 26, 1999, just days after having left WCW, Raven came to the rescue of his old enemy Tommy Dreamer, who was getting beaten up in a 2 on 1 bout vs. the Dudley Boyz. Raven, unannounced, hit the ring, DDT'd Buh Buh, and scored the pinfall, winning the two the tag titles in the process. Raven and Dreamer would have a very un-easy alliance and tag reign that would last until January 2000.
