Hot Wheels
Vert. Vert reached the Wheel of Power first, thus earning the title of the fastest driver in the world. The Wheel of Power was then tested on by Dr. Tezla, but after it blacked out most of North America, he reported that wisdom is a circle and that what you receive you must give back. Some drivers then helped Vert take the Wheel of Power back into Highway 35.
$5 million. Vert won and $5 million was given to him and his six teammates. Vert, however, gave his money to Kadeem to help his suffering people. Kadeem's people were located in the desert away from large amounts of water and fought a lot between themselves.
Gig. Gig was a great helper and friend to Dr. Tezla. However, later in the Acceleracer movies, it is revealed that Dr. Tezla reprogrammed and stole him from a secret organization called the Silencerz. Gig was originally programmed to override all tampering attempts, so he stayed and spied for the Silencerz. As a result the Silencerz are able to enter the realms and win Accelechargers.
35. Dr. Tezla recruited ten drivers for the first part of the World Race to determine the leader of each team (two drivers per team). The winners than chose an additional five drivers for their teams resulting in five teams with seven drivers each.
Wave Rippers: Vert Wheeler (leader), Alec Wood, Finn Serpa, Lani Tam, Felix Sharkey, Fluke, Markie Wylde.
Street Breed: Kurt Wylde (leader), Dan Dresden, Toņo, Ricky Bell, Bart Scampi, San Jay Kuan, Maximo.
Road Beasts: Banjee Castillo (leader), Griffin, Pete Karris, Jerry Boylan, Skeet, Yucatan, Esmeralda Sanchez.
Dune Rats: Brian Kadeem (leader), Mojave, Toni Gerry, Chuvo, Charlie Raffa, Heralor, Rekkas.
Scorchers: Taro Kitano (leader), Vesuvius, Harrison Lau, Everest, Wayne Casper, Jet Blaney, Krakatoa.
a perfect score. Even though Vert got his drivers' licence, he was left with his skateboard for transportation. His dad drove him to the testing area, but said he was needed by his squadron. This improved their already-crumbling relationship. Vert's dad thinks his son is self-centered, however this changed after Vert got recruited for the World Race.
invisibility. Each team's cars had different abilities or tools to help them through obstacles. The eye-in-the-sky was built into Street Breed cars. The saw blade belonged to the Road Beasts. The Dune Rats had spiked tires. The Wave Rippers controlled vertical turbo jump jets. Volcano tires and the lava plow were for the Scorchers's cars.
Banjee. Banjee Castillo is the leader of the Road Beasts. He insisted that he give his newly-recuited team some practice by racing in an already explored part of Highway 35. His view was that rules are made to be broken.
Zed 36. Kurt was recruited by Gelorum, an evil robot/android, because he didn't trust Dr. Tezla. He was assigned to sabotage the other drivers and acquire the Wheel of Power for Gelorum. His car, Slingshot, transforms into a secretive black car to conceal his identity.
brothers. Markie is Kurt's younger brother. He was rejected for Kurt's team, the Street Breed, but was gladly accepted as a member of the Wave Rippers. Markie drove a car called Stingray.
blue. Vert is the leader of the Wave Rippers. His car is the Deora II. Its features include twin surfboards and vertical turbo jump jets.
Shirako. When Shirako and Nolo are on their way to the Accele Drome, the other racers comment on hearing loud music. When they arrive, Shirako's car is bouncing and blaring Teku music. His car is also a light show on wheels.
Tone. Tone used to be the leader of the Teku. As he was racing the Metal Maniacs' leader (Tork), Tone took a corner to fast and spun out. The car flipped up and smashed into the middle of the road, instantly killing Tone. Nolo took over as leader for his brother, blaming Tork for the accident.
Nolo. During the Swamp Realm race, every other car gets swiped by the monstrous vines, except Nolo's. He manages to evade the vines and zip through the portal before the Drones. By winning the Swamp Realm Accelecharger, Nolo shuts down the realm, forcing the vines to let go and drop the cars.
Swamp. As Pork Chop and Monkey turn unto the right fork of a splitting road, the camera pans down to the left revealing Banjee's empty car sumbmerged in water. This stirs up a question for the veiwers. Is Dr. Tezla telling the racers everything he knows?
Karma. Monkey is working inside Pork Chop's car, when Pork Chop jumps in and starts for the opening portal. While Monkey is asking him to stop and let him out, they ram into Karma sending her crashing into a pile of tires.
3. Pork Chop's semi-truck is seen smashing through one of the doors. He slams on the brakes, which sends the end of the truck sideways, revealing three tricked-out cars. One for Monkey, one for Taro, and the last for himself.
Karma. Vert's car wasn't the only thing that got cut in half; a Drone had been hanging onto the side of his car. The Drone tried to hurt Vert, but Karma rammed the it into the wall with her car.
right arm and left leg. Nolo and Shirako arrive to help their Teku teammates. Later, Tork and Pork Chop show up to join the rest of the Metal Maniacs. We then see Taro limp out of the infirmary. He stops and says, "Let's get even."
Vert's. Vert could see the end of the realm by the time he decided to go back and look for Kadeem. He had already turned around when Lani informed him that the realm was about to close. The realms only stayed open for an hour and this one only had a minute left. He made it out all right, but the portal had closed on half his car.
Storm. The Storm Realm was the first realm that the Metal Maniacs and the Teku went into. They had just gotten into the realm when Dr. Tezla informed them that the Racing Drones had appeared. One of them pushed Kadeem off of the track and Vert tried to catch him with his grappling hook. By the time he had released it, Kadeem was already too far away and he missed. They lost his car's radio and camera signal soon after.
20 minutes. While Karma was talking Taro through the Water Realm, the rest of the racers were helpless as they sat back and watched, hoping their friend would make it out. The clock was shown counting down from 20 minutes.
his car had been submerged twice and wasn't working right. When Taro went through the end of the Water Realm, he was jammed between two Racing Drone cars. It ended up transporting him to Gelorum's (the queen of the Drones from the "Hot Wheels World Race" movie) hideout instead of Accele Drome. He had to go back through the portal in reverse to get away from the attacking Drones. This put Taro all the way back to the beginning of the Water Realm, submerging him in water twice.
Karma. The Drone that was cut in half in "Ignition" was later brought back online, when Karma wanted to study it. She hooked it up to a driving simulation and found out that they had mastered certain skills in every realm they completed. She had figured this out enough so that by the time that Taro re-entered the Water Realm, she was able to help him make it through the portal in time. The Water Realm's skill was being able to hydroplane.
it blew his engine. Tork was on a practice track trying out the Cavern Accelecharger, when Monkey asked him to test his Nitrox 3 1/2. The result was a blown engine and a very angry Tork.
Nightlife. Power Rage was destroyed in the Water Realm. The Deora II only made it half way out of the Storm Realm. Reverb isn't used until the fourth movie "The Ultimate Race".
everything. After he found out about Pork Chop's father, Monkey replied that everyone is afraid of something and that he himself was afraid of everything.
Emergency Driver Return. Dr. Tezla introduced this button after losing Kadeem (or so the racers thought). It is later revealed that he only installed them when the Accelechargers were taken into the realms for the racers to use.
Power Rage. Vert was near the end of the Water Realm, when he suddenly decided to nab the record of fastest time out of a realm. Karma kept telling him that he had to go slower when he hydroplaned. He didn't listen, and his car flew off the track, smashing into a rock cliff. He managed to push his EDR (Emergency Driver Return) button in time. He flew out of the portal, landing safely on an air cushion (provided by Lani and Nolo after Pork Chop's accident).
his father drowned when he was a kid. After he nearly drowns in his submerged car, Pork Chop finally manages to escape his predicament by pushing his EDR (Emergency Driver Return) button. He is then thrown out of the portal into a bunch of barrels and boxes at the same speed his car was going (unexpectedly). Later, Pork Chop is shown cuddling a toy pig in the infirmary. Monkey comes to visit and asks why he was afraid of the Water Realm. Pork Chop replies that his father drowned when he was a little boy.
Nitrox 3 1/2. Monkey takes up chemistry in his spare time. He is bent on creating a new version of Nitrox 2 that will make the cars go up to 300 mph in reverse. His experiments blow up at one point.
3. Gelorum became frustrated that the racers were winning some Accelechargers, so she sent three Sweepers into the Junk Realm. The first Sweeper got caught by a giant magnet. The second was destroyed when Pork Chop and Monkey rammed Pork Chop's semi-truck full of Nitrox 3 1/2 into it. The third one ran into the remains of the second and flew off the track.
