Conrad, the driver, pulls some fancy moves with the car in an attempt to elude them, but the bandits eventually trap the group after their van runs off the road into a ditch.
A guard shoots and kills Nada. Judd and Nada were looking to extend their relationship past just being friends. He was very devastated when she was killed.

Lina. After Nada's death Judd speaks with her mother and mentions he never knew her
first name.
Tsion Ben-Judah. Tsion had been writing messages for Christians on the internet for quite some
time. In each one he encouraged the Christians and urged them to stand strong
for their faith.
He keeps to himself and tries to deal with it alone. Judd withdraws from his friends as he grieves for Nada. Mr. Stein encourages him to talk with someone about how he's feeling.
They are plotting to kill Nicolae Carpathia. Nicolae Carpathia is the Antichrist who set himself up as ruler of the world at
the beginning of the series. Kasim and his father are so angry and bitter over Nada's death they plot to kill Carpathia. Judd has to stop them in order to protect the other Christians the three men are living with.
