When the mother went to market, she kissed her children goodbye and gave them two rules: "Now be careful, and remember- don't let a stranger in and ________." What was the second rule? | "Heckedy Peg" By Audrey Wood

Don't touch fire. The children locked the door after their mother left and began to play.
Heckedy Peg. The witch said, "I'm Heckedy Peg. I've lost my leg. Let me in!"
Gold. She had a sack full of gold. The children offered to let her in and light her pipe for the sack of gold.
food. After the children let her in and lit her pipe, the witch threw her pipe to the floor and shouted, "Now I've got you!" She turned the children into food.
A blackbird. A blackbird who had seen what happened took pity on the mother and told her. "Follow me!" the bird chirped. "It's Heckedy Peg. She's lost her leg. They let her in."
Her shoes were dirty. The witch would not let her in because her shoes were dirty. The mother then took her shoes off. But, the witch claimed that her socks, and then her feet were also dirty.
Guess which food was which child. The witch had turned each child into different food. She told the mother to guess which food was which individual child.
She jumped off the bridge and was never seen again. The mother guessed her children correctly. She chased Heckedy Peg until they came to a bridge. Heckedy Peg jumped off of the bridge and was never seen again!
after the seven days of the week. The mother's children are all named after the seven days of the week, which are Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.
Some crackers. Monday wanted a tub of butter, Tuesday wanted a pocket knife and Sunday wanted a bowl of egg pudding. So, Saturday wanted some crackers from the market.
Not to let strangers in, and to not touch fire.. The mother wants to make sure that her children are safe from strangers, so she gives them these directions.
Heckedy Peg. Heckedy Peg is the witch who eventually comes to the house of the seven children and wants to come inside the house.
Gold. Heckedy Peg tells the children that she will give them gold if they let her inside the house to light her pipe. The children immediately fall for the trick and let Heckedy Peg inside the house.
Food. After the children light up the straw for Heckedy Peg to light her pipe, Heckedy Peg throws the pipe down on the ground and immediately, the children transform into different types of food and Heckedy Peg takes the food with her to her hideout in the forest.
The witch's pipe. When the mother returned home from the market, she tries to call out her children's names, but they do not answer her. It is then that the mother finds Heckedy Peg's pipe on the ground and she realizes that her children are kidnapped.
She hides her legs and crawls inside.. Heckedy Peg tells the mother that she will not let her in unless she takes off her shoes and socks because she they are dirty. When the mother takes off her shoes and socks, Heckedy Peg still will not let her in and tells the mother to cut off her feet because they are dirty. But, the mother just hides her legs and crawls inside Heckedy Peg's hut.
She matches the food items according to what her children told her to get for them.. The mother remembered that before she left for the market, she asked each of her children what they wanted from the market. So, the mother just matched each food item based on what her children wanted from the market. For example, Monday wanted a tub of butter from the market, so the mother knew that the bread was Monday because bread goes with butter.
She drowns in the river.. When the mother is reunited with her children, she is angry at Heckedy Peg for kidnapping her children and she and her children chase Heckedy Peg towards a bridge, where Heckedy Peg jumps into the river and drowns.
