Robert Gould Shaw
"Forward, 54th!". Robert then took a bullet through the heart and was killed. The 54th watched in horror as their leader fell.
54th Massachusetts. An all black regiment, most of the 54th was slaughtered at Fort Wagner. Shaw led the regiment into certain battles like James Island.
Lenox, Massachusetts. Ridley's Corner does not exsist. Haggerty and Shaw stayed briefly in Lenox.
Anna, Josephine, Susanna, and Ellen. Robert was the only boy in the family. His sisters remained behind with the parents when Robert went off to war.

October 10, 1837. Shaw died at a very young age (26). He was most famous for being a Colonel in the Civil War and leading the first black regiment in the North.
